Videos starring The Lyza Bean

In the last couple of weeks Lyza has been doing a lot of growing up. I feel like our little baby is disappearing but it is also fun to watch her new discoveries! Here are a few videos of Lyza during the past few weeks.

Last Saturday Daniel stayed home with Lyza so that I could go to the temple. It was my first time going since I had her and it was so nice to have the opportunity to go. While I was gone Daniel put Lyza down for a nap. After he layed her down he didn't hear anything for about 15 minutes and assumed she had fallen asleep. Then he heard a banging sound coming from her room. Lyza had reached through the crib railings to her laundry basket. After successfully retreiving some of the clothes from it she stuck her hand through one of the circles on the side of the basket and then couldn't get it back out. She found herself a monkey trap!
Playing with Lyza.
Yesterday was a holiday so we decided to do some shopping in Spokane. Here we are at Carls Jr. waiting for some lunch.
Daniel on his first day of work. He has already been given a lot of responsibility but is really enjoying it.
Apparently this is the most comfortable position she could find. It's a good thing Lyza isn't any smaller than she is....she might slip right through those railings.
 Play time!
Lyza can sit unsupported for very short periods of time. In this picture she is moments away from doing a face plant which she is usually fine with as long as a toy is nearby.

The Beginning of our 3 month Vacation

We have been in Coeur d'Alene for a week now and are so far loving this city! We feel like we have been on vacation but this is actually our home!

Here are a couple of pictures of us packing up all of our stuff. Lyza was supervising!

This was our moving truck with our "bare essentials".....we are not very light packers! We were missing the help of our families that we have had every other time we moved but still managed to fill the truck on our own.
When we arrived in Coeur d'Alene the Elder's Quorum President and the full-time missionaries we waiting for us and helped us unload the truck. This is our living room and kitchen full of stuff. Maybe we'll post some pictures of our apartment after we get a little more settled.

This was taken just outside of our place in the common garden area. Lyza has been loving the good weather. Our first couple of days in Coeur d'Alene it was 30 degrees! This picture was taken on Mother's Day after church. We had a great day together and Lyza even got me a beautiful necklace that I am wearing in this picture. I am lucky to have such a wonderful daughter!
We went for a walk to the river.

Lyza loves the taste of her shoes!
This is inside of a toy store in downtown Coeur d'Alene. The downtown area has lots of little stores and shops that are fun to check out.
 Our little prodigy!
This is just outside of the resort.
Coeur d'Alene lake on a beautiful day.

Lyza turned 5 months this week!
This is the start of a hike we did at Tubbs Hill. It starts at the city park area of lake Coeur d'Alene and you hike around the hill following the water. We made it a little harder than it needed to be and found a trail that went over top of the hill instead of around it following the water.
Lyza inherited her mom's hiking genes and loved the hike and being outdoors.

 Yummy flowers?
 Maybe not....
We spent a day in Spokane and went to Spokane Falls. There is an island in the river that is called Canada Island.

This is a huge wagon that is also a slide and has monkey bars in the bottom.

Lyza has been loving sticking out her tongue lately.
We got a new backpack carrier and are getting excited to do some camping and hiking.
Lyza gives good head massages...really she just pulls hair, but that is close enough.

Sunday picnic at a nearby park.

That pretty much sums up our week. We are looking forward to the rest of our summer here and are excited for Daniel to start his internship tomorrow!

Almost done year 1!

I can't believe Daniel is almost done his first year if law school! So far his exams have been going well he just has one left to write on Friday and then Saturday morning we are off to Coeur d'Alene!
Here are a few pictures from the last week:
Lyza and Mom after church. Lyza looked so cute in her new dress from Ashley!
The last few weeks Lyza has decided that she would rather sleep on her stomach. She looks so cute with her little bum sticking up in the air.
This is a summery wreath that I made for our front door.
I had to take a few pictures of Lyza in her crib before we took it apart since we won't be taking it to Coeur d'Alene with us.
I love her expression in this one!

When I got Lyza up from her nap the other day I discovered that she had been sucking on her arm for quite a while. Check out her hickies! It took a couple days for them to go away.
I had been wanting to get a Moby Wrap for a while but couldn't bring myself to spend $50 on one so I went and bought some fabric and made my own for $15! So far Lyza loves it!
That has been all the excitement in our lives. The only other things we have been doing is studying and packing. Hope you are all having a good week!
