She's on the Move

We have only been home from Canada for a week now but it feels like a lot longer because so much has gone on. Daniel is back at work and enjoying it. They offered him a job through the school year which is very exciting! Lyza has been very busy reaching new milestones and Lyza being busy is keeping me busy!
This past week has been very hot. Everyday has been between 33-35 *C. The other night when Daniel got home from work we decided to go to the lake to cool off a bit. This was Lyza's first time swimming! Lyza loved being in the water and we all had a lot of fun. Our next step is teaching Lyza not to drink the water!

On the nights we don't go to the lake we let Lyza cool off before bedtime in the sink!
We had a great day together yesterday in Spokane. On the way in we stopped at the Nut Factory which wasn't as exciting as we had anticpiated. After that we did a little bit of shopping and then got some lunch at Mackenzie River Pizza. We spent the afternoon at Manito Park. It is a large park with walking trails and beautiful gardens. By the time we were done there we were all very hot and went to a pool in Spokane and swam before we came home.  Here are a few pictures from the park.

Japanese Gardens

Rose Gardens
Our favorite rose :)

Duncan Gardens

After we left the park we were driving through a residential neighborhood and just happened to see 2 turkeys walking down the sidewalk.....weird.
This week Lyza has been a busy girl! She has figured out how to get from laying down to sitting up all on her own. She has also started "crawling". She doesn't get her body off the ground but instead uses her arms to drag herself. She is getting faster everyday...especially when she has something particular she would like to get her hands on. So far her favorite things to crawl for have been the remote, camera and phone! haha

Our trip to Canada!

We had a GREAT time in Canada over the past week and a half. Time with family always goes by too quickly and I can't believe that we are already home. I am ready to start thinking about our next trip! It was so much fun looking through all of our pictures once we got home. We are lucky to have such wonderful families to spend time with and we appreciate everything that was done for us to make our stay so enjoyable. Here are pictures of some of the highlights!

Lyza having fun with Great Grandma and Grandpa Bullock

We had lots of beautiful weather during our trip. Lyza really loved being outside
Great Grandma and Grandpa couldn't take their eyes off of this little girl.

 Uncle Benjamin
I think Peter must of reminded Lyza of Daniel because she loved watching everything he did and always enjoyed being held by him.
It was a beautiful day for Rachel and Simon's wedding. We forgot to get a picture of the two of them but they both looked great!
Lyza looked beautiful in her new dress and was such a good girl that day. Despite the fact that she hardly got any naps that day she was very good.
I thought this picture of Megan and her Dad was so cute!

A baby looks good on these two :)
Lots of fun with Grandma Keyes

 Playing with the Bullock cousins

Whenever Lyza gets really excited she sticks her had in her mouth. She sure loved her Auntie Hannah!

Rachel and Simon invited  us over one night for ice cream and homemade pop. It was delicious! They have a beautiful apartment and it was fun visiting with them.

Food tastes so much better when Auntie Hannah is feeding it to you.
 Happy Independence Day!
 Daddy's American Sweetheart
 Raspberries and kisses from Grandma
 Last night in Edmonton

On our way home we stopped in Welling for a couple of days.
Having some fun during Lyza's nap time.
 Lyza's first bon fire

Our little monkey in a tree

On Saturday we drove over Logan's pass and did some hiking. Daniel is sporting Lyza's new sun hat.

 Virginia Falls
Everyone on the trail loved to get a peek at Lyza as we hiked. She had a great time and even enjoyed a nap.

 St.Mary Falls

We didn't take Lyza too close to Virginia Falls because of all of the mist. The falls got us a bit wet taking this picture but it felt good on a VERY hot day!

On Thursday Lyza started making her first "real" sounds. Her little voice is so stinkin cute!
We had such a fun time in Canada with everyone and can't wait to see you all again! When we got home at 7:30 Saturday night it was 96*! I hope we can keep cool in our little apartment this week.
