Merry Christmas!

This past week we attended Nativities Around the World at one of the Stake Centers. They had hundreds of creches on display. They also had a manger scene where you could dress up and have your picture taken. Here is a picture of our little family.
Tonight we are really in the Christmas spirit. We attended a Community Christmas Concert sponsored by the church. Several local congregations participated and the musical numbers were really beautiful. When we left the church there was snow in the air and we enjoyed the rest of the evening delivering presents to friends. We even did a little caroling!
Hope you are all enjoying this Christmas season.

Getting ready for Christmas!

I am counting down the days until we come home for Christmas! Can't believe we are leaving in less than a week! I feel like this past week has been busy and stressful. Daniel is drowning in everything he has to study. Every spare minute he has is spent with his books. I worked 4 days this past week which is way more than I would like to be working. We also had our ward activity this week and a Relief Society activity that I helped with.
With Daniel busy studying in the evenings Lyza and I have had a lot of time to just hang out :)
This girl Loves to play with the phone and talk....but only when there is no one on the other end! haha
Lyza checking out her very first picture that she colored. It was very artistic....a mixture of lines and dots!
I picked up a tin gift card holder this week that plays music and it is Lyza's new favorite toy. I guess Santa should only buy her things that cost $1 because they seem to be her favorite.
On my day off I was feeling like an adventure and let Lyza feed herself....
She actually did an amazing job and got most of the food in her mouth.
She is such a big girl!!
After she fed herself we had bath time which always puts a smile on her face.
Lyza is really good at cleaning up. When she cleans up the kitchen she puts everything in the drawer under the oven. If I am ever missing something that is a good place to check!
During naptime this week I managed to get my Christmas baking done. We are planning on delivering goodies to friends this evening.
Last night was our ward Christmas party. We had a great time.....at least Daniel and I did....apparently Lyza isn't so fond of Santa.
Lyza wants to wish you all a Holly Jolly Christmas!
Can't wait to see all of our family and friends in Canada next weekend!!!!
