Busy Week

It has been a busy week for us. Daniel has had lots of writing to do for school on top of all of his readings. I was on call last weekend for work and ended up working 8 days straight, which I wasn't very happy about. To top it off Lyza was sick last weekend too! Luckily we are all healthy now and enjoying a nice relaxing Sunday afternoon together.
Since we haven't done anything noteworthy to talk about here a few pictures of Lyza playing.
She loves it when the dishwasher is open....she usually tries to fish herself out a spoon to play with.

 Recently, Lyza makes sure she always has on one of her fancy necklaces while she plays.

 This was our attempt at getting her 12 month picture. She had to have her spoon in her hand and we had to be quick with the camera!

 I mentioned that Lyza was sick last weekend. She had been to the doctor 2 days earlier and got her 1 year shots (all 5 of them! yuck!) Friday evening we noticed a few spots on her back and neck and thought it was a mild reaction to the vaccines. When we woke up Saturday morning she was covered from head to toe in a terrible rash. I got called into the hospital so Daniel took Lyza to the doctor. She got some kind of a viral rash. Luckily she wasn't too uncomfortable....just a little itchy.

 The rash looked SO awful these pictures don't do it justice. Luckily it only lasted for a couple of days.

 I had a few minutes during nap time the other day to do my nails. I love the new nail stamping kit Daniel got me for Christmas. I think it will be used often :)

 Yesterday, Lyza was really cute when she discovered her shadow. She thought it was so fun to try to walk on her shadow and she would bend over to touch it.

One of Lyza's favorite activities lately is sitting/standing on the couch and playing. This is when we have our heart-to-hearts. Lyza had a few things that she wanted to share with everyone the other day.

It was so much fun to see family at Christmas and to celebrate Lyza's first birthday! I couldn't dream of life without our little girl. We are so lucky to have her as our daughter and she makes us so happy!!!
