Autumn is a second spring where every leaf is a flower - Albert Camus

We have been enjoying the beautiful fall weather and a recent warm spell

The park is always a hit

The arboretum is gorgeous this time of year

#nofilter. Haha, I bet none of our reader-base gets that. Suffice it to say I am mocking how people use Twitter's "hashtags" all of the time
 My beautiful girls
Yummy mini apple pie. It didn't stand a chance
Recently Lyza has been letting us keep elastics in her hair with adorable results
We forgot to post ultrasound pictures of baby #2, isn't he a cutie? (really Kim is the only person who can figure out what is in these pictures, the rest of us just smile and nod)

We washed the car yesterday and Lyza though it was hilarious. These pictures and videos don't even do it justice. Who knew washing the car could be so fun?!

This is our favorite part of Sunday afternoons (other than taking to our parents :) )

Wild Domesticated Animals

We went to Pullman on Friday and picked some more apples. After that we took Lyza to see the bears. WSU has a bear research, education and conservation program where there are grizzly bears that you can watch. Lyza really enjoys seeing the bears and we know it would make grandma Keyes very proud.
On Saturday morning Lyza and I went to the park while mommy was at the mall at a baby fair getting all kinds of free stuff.
Saturday afternoon we had a ward party at a horse stable outside of town. It was a lot of fun. Lyza loved seeing all of the horses. There was a wagon ride, cow roping, food, and games. We all had a good time.

This is Lyza and I at church today.
That's all for now. Take care.

We have been enjoying the nice fall weather and are getting ready for Halloween. This week Lyza picked out a pumpkin for us to carve. She LOVES pumpkins and is always excited to look at them when we go to the store.
 Giving the pumpkin a hug.
This weekend a friend of ours babysat Lyza so Daniel and I could go on a date. We went bowling and out for dinner.
Daniel made Lyza a fort yesterday. She enjoyed bringing all of her animals inside with her and reading books to them.
Here is a video of Lyza reading to her animals.
We have had an old dresser in our garage that Daniel used when he was growing up. We decided to refinish it to use once the baby comes. Daniel has been working on it for the past couple weeks to get it done before the weather gets too cold. He was able to finish it yesterday and I'm very happy with how it turned out!
When we picked out our pumpkin at the store this week they had a huge pumpkin on display. Lyza thought it was pretty great.
A Halloween wreath I made for our home.

This week we have a service auction for out Relief Society activity. I made a couple of chalkboard countdown signs to have auctioned off.

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving to all of our friends and family!

Fall is Beautiful (when it isn't raining)

There are lots of fun activities to do around here in the fall when it isn't raining (we had a long rain spell that we are happy is over).
Kim and Lyza took a trip to Pullman where there is a WSU facility that has bears. We are not sure why there are bears, but they were sure fun to look at.
Kim and Lyza also went to a science center in Pullman with another family from our ward. Here is a picture of that family's kids looking at a live snake. Lyza was more excited about a picture of a snake than the real snake.

Last weekend was Moscow's Homecoming Parade. This was my first time attending a small town parade. It was a lot of fun.
There were lots of bands playing and Lyza loved the music. Here is a clip from a Toy Story inspired band. The Slinky dog at the end is my favorite.
There were lots of floats from different organizations and groups in town and sponsored by the University

Most of the floats threw/handed out candy. The kids loved it. Lyza enjoyed picking the candy up from the street, even though she doesn't know what candy is

 Canada

Here is what Lyza came home with. Its like a practice run for Halloween

I am not sure what was going on here. If you would like to guess feel free to leave a caption as a comment. We'll pick the funniest comment and mention it in the next post
Yesterday we went out to the WSU orchard where there is u-pick pumpkins and a u-pick apple orchard. Lyza LOVES pumpkins. Kim has had a hard time grocery shopping recently because Lyza can't get past the pumpkins displayed outside

This is the area where people can pick their own pumpkins. Lyza loved walking around and trying to lift them all up

Here is an old tractor that Lyza got to "drive"

There was an area with loose hay where the children got to show just what kind of wild animals they are

There was also a hay ride (a tractor pulling a trailer with hay seating) around the farm that was a lot of fun

This is one of Lyza's friends. They both have similar outfits
After the fun with pumpkins and hay we picked some apples

Here is a video of Lyza singing herself a lullaby

THat's all for now. Take care
