Back to Moscow

Well, Christmas was  a lot of fun, but we have had to come back to reality. Here are some of the things that have been keeping us busy:
Lyza riding in the vehicles at the mall

We had a family date night at Jamms, where they serve lots of flavors of frozen yogurt with all the toppings you could ever imagine

Here is baby#2's latest profile picture (punn intended)
Jack Nicholson's protege, wearing sunglasses indoors
Driving the shopping cart with mommy
This semester I only have class Tuesday through Thursday, and Kim is working Mondays and Fridays, so I get lots of time to spend with Lyza. This week we had fun with play dough

I got my grades from last semester and it was my best semester yet! (of course it was the one where I put in the least amount of work and hours, go figure)
We had a family "Princess Party," where we had pizza for dinner, then made a "castle" and watched Tangled, what could be more fun?
Here is Kim's "bump" at 34 weeks (last week)
Lyza ready for church last week. She loves her cowboy boots. Today, after church she was telling me that she is a cowboy
Sometimes when you go shopping with mamma it is so exhausting that you have to find somewhere to lay down
Lyza making pancakes for our breakfast yesterday morning
We had a ward International Potluck yesterday. There we games and prizes for the kids. Lyza got a pair of really cool glasses
Kim entered a doughnut-eating contest and got second place. Way to go Kim!
She inspired Lyza
Lyza reading at Hallmark
Here are some of Lyza's most recent dance moves. Notice the pointing
Dancing with her big teddy bear
Lyza ran up and down the hallway kicking her ball for almost an hour
Lyza's newest composition of "silent night"
That's it for now. Take Care

A Very Merry Christmas!

We had a great time visiting with family this Christmas. Here are a few of the highlights...
Lyza and Grandpa doing what they love most (when its not fly fishing or hiking season)
Wearing grandpa's winter gear
First Sunday in Welling. We (unintentionally) ended out being there three Sundays in a row!
Lyza's first time playing in the snow on a sled/GT
She had a lot of fun and I got a good workout

We took "snow-digging" breaks so I could catch my breath

Lyza with Uncle Kevin and Aunt Mandy after she opened her birthday gift from them
What a princess!
Christmas eve party
Disco ball earing
I like that apron so much I have worn it two years in a row!
Dancing with Sydney
Christmas morning! Even though this was Lyza's third Christmas it was her first one where she could understand what was happening. She knew exactly what to do with her boot/stocking and all of her gifts
A Belle pez dispenser. On one of our long trips we filled it up with candy, gave it to her, and showed her how to get the candy out. We thought it would keep her busy for 15 or 20 minutes. About 2 minutes after she figured out how to get the candy out she started repeating "more."
Helping daddy check his boot (really just stealing my orange!)
A new dolly!
Lyza took a break from the gift-opening excitement to get some coloring done. Her cousins thought she was crazy to delay gift opening to color
Playing with her new Winnie the Pooh figures
A gift from her cousins
Wow! A stroller for my new dolly!
I thought she was going to wear that stroller out that mornning
Pushing the stroller and pulling the wagon
Eating some M&Ms from her boot. Chocolate is a rare treat for this girl
There were lots of games played in Welling, which means lots of fun! (notice the new lettering on the wall that my talented and lovely wife did)
Lyza showing grandpa how to use the Magna Doodle, oh "technology"
The princess pushing the stroller (her servants must have gotten Christmas off)
Movie with her cousins
She loves the new Magna Doodle that her cousins gave her

Lyza's snack while we were watching a show
Her "big" cousin helping her with her hair
We made it up to Edmonton after Christmas and had a blast there
Here is Lyza opening up an Elmo doll
Here is Lyza with her new Elmo. He is very talented
Giving a present to Grandma
That stroller did not see a lot of down-time
Lyza got lots of really nice books from grandma and grandpa
Auntie Hannah knows how to read?!    :)
Enjoying her grandma
We got to meet Alison, our newest niece. She was so sweet!

Here is a cute video of Alison while Kim was holding her
Lyza loved playing with her cousin Megan's vanity
Here is Lyza playing with her cousins in their backyard. Edmonton has had lots of snow
(we do not miss that!)
She liked going down the slide with her cousins

You can never get enough princess dress up!
While we were in Edmonton we had the privilege of seeing a concert by the AA's (a new and upcoming band). Seating was limited and very exclusive! What a show!

Wow, a dryer!
Here is Lyza playing with Great-Grandpa
And Great-Grandma
Playing in the tent/teepee
Lyza and an exercise ball
We had a great time with family this Christmas. Thanks to those who sheltered us from the cold Canadian winter and fed us so well. Next time please order nicer weather and better road conditions!
