We Love to Have Fun

We love to have fun...but life doesn't always cooperate ;)
This little guy is so fun! His sister thinks he is the coolest when he wears this dinosaur hoodie
When the kids are unsupervised (because we are talking to my parents on a Sunday evening) this is the type of thing they do
 They are such little cows
Kim took them on a walk through some trails and they had lots of fun together

Sometimes this little boy gets so worked up over nothing. Look how close his feet are to the ground, but he acts like he is jumping off a roof top
Balance beam
Climbing on the big rocks never gets old
Kim taught two preschool lessons this week. Both went well. Her theme was being healthy and active and they learned about the letter "B" and circles. Look at these healthy kids
Bubbles start with "b" and are circles
Donuts made from apple slices with cream cheese are healthy

After one of the lessons Kim took Lyza and her friend Remi to a music class at the library. Their dance was so cute
Speaking of cute, this little guys has been loving the bumbo

One afternoon Kim heard way too much giggling coming from the bathroom. This is what she found

 Nixon is excited for Halloween
Kim had a night without kids and decided to spend it with old ladies at a free craft night at the library. This is what she came home with
Saturday morning waffles made by some good helpers
Only when you play blocks with mommy do you end out with four different colored cities
The leaves are starting to change color and it is so beautiful

Mason likes going for walks
The proper way to use the swings. I love it because they can push themselves
Normally doing anything to Lyza's hair produces screams of torture like she is being electrocuted at the same time she is being water boarded. Unless...she happens to be watching a movie, then she has no idea you are even working on her hair
 Cute braids
Her hair was really cute for church today
Asking Nixon to keep his eyes closed is similar in torture level to styling Lyza's hair. He makes it look like he is dying
But you can tell they love being at church because of those big smiles!
The kids have been having withdrawal from their uncle Benjamin. On Friday night I had a guys movie night and Nixon heard a voice that he thought was uncle Ben. The next morning this is what we had to deal with
We upload all of our photos to Google Photos because you get free unlimited cloud storage. Another perk is that Google will automatically create collages, animations, albums, and even movies. This is one that Google created from our summer
Google also made this video of Nixon. So cute! Keep 'em coming!
Take care and enjoy the beautiful fall colors

Running out of summer

Nixon decided that he could get his own snack
We love our sleepy little baby
Here he is with his quilt from Grandma Bullock
 So handsome
We had a bonfire and it was great. It has been too long since we did this. Nixon has been asking for a bonfire almost every day since

We also played with a flash-copter. The Bishop's sons sell these little things to save for their missions

We had lots of fun kayaking with family. Here is Lyza practicing in the garage
We went on a family hike last Saturday around Hayden lake and had lots of fun together
 Aren't they the cutest pair?

Lyza loved using this walking stick on the tough terrain ;)

Here is another cute pair of hikers

We all liked looking at the roots of the huge trees that have fallen over

The kids were mesmerized with the horses
The kids love this witch at Costco. Nixon asks for it the second we walk through the door
It is apple season around here and I am not complaining. 25 cents a pound? Don't mind if I do!
Lyza gave a talk last Sunday about preaching the gospel around the world and we were proud that she got to talk about her auntie Hannah on a mission in Tahiti
He thinks this spinning top is the best!

Lyza finished her potty/hand washing chart so the kids got to make their own ice cream sundaes. So yummy!
 The three amigos
When we last went to Costco the woman at the register was so sweet and gave each of the kids cash cards. Two nights in a row Nixon fell asleep holding his cash card
Story time at the library is back on now that summer is over. Kim said Nixon actually sat still and listened to the whole thing
This is what he made at the library
We got the last of the corn from a family in our ward with a humongous garden. Kim put the kids to work shucking corn
One night Lyza decided that she better wear this owl purse to bed with her. Where does she come up with these things?
Nixon went and found another of Lyza's purses so he could keep up
Our little girl started preschool this week! She has been SO excited. She has been mentioning it in all of her prayers. It went really well. Kim and three other moms are doing it two days a week, and each mom takes a week and they will rotate throughout the homes.
 Umm...where is Nixon?
 Seriously, where is he?
We got Nixon some big boy underwear and started potty training. He has been really good about it (it is all his idea). He isn't completely ready yet, but even within a few days we have seen some real progress in him recognizing when he needs to go.
Too bad we forgot about this frog costume. It is too small for him :(
Lyza showing off some of the things she made at preschool
The kids love their little brother. It is so awesome
 That is one big apple!
I had a work golf tournament on Friday. I was the best dressed on the team
I only played the first 9 holes so I could come home early and meet Kim and the kids at the beach. It was a beautiful day, and maybe the last beach day of the year :(

These three played really well together
I got some good snuggle time with this little guy

I helped Kim peel apples yesterday (with the power drill of course) and we made a big batch of apple butter...yum!
They were having a blast being "upside down." That is, until Nixon fell on his head ;)
Lyza and Nixon always want to hold Mason
He looked handsome at church this morning
Lyza learned about tithing at church and insisted that we help her count her money and pay her tithing. After lunch we had a nice lesson about money, tithing, and the blessing of paying tithing. She is so sweet and really loves learning about the gospel.

She is pretty excited to give this to the Bishop next Sunday
Nixon has some pretty sweet dance moves
Take care
