Where are you sun light?

Nixon is always willing to help out with the vacuuming
We did a roast beef dinner last Sunday and made yorkshire pudding that actually turned out!
What a good sport to let his sister do his hair like this

All of our kids (and Remi) at the library this week
This little guy loves to laugh and smile

One of the downsides to living in a geographical area that is part of the wrong time zone is that it gets dark really early in the winter. A walk at 4:40 pm with headlamps? Bananas!
Our kids love this swinging chair at Remi's house

Lyza is reading to Kim. She is so cute (both of them)
Nixon has been acting more grown up in some respects (he is talking a lot more) and less grown up in others (can't go to nursery by himself :(
Here is a little video of Kim asking Nixon some questions by himself. There is lots of background noise, which is the constant state of our home, but it is still pretty cute
Hope you have a happy Thanksgiving this week. Take care

Slow Week

We have had a pretty slow week around here, but here a few of the highlights:
Mason can roll over! This news is about a week old now, but I forgot to add it to the blog last week
Nixon always looks so handsome for church
 Lyza looks pretty good too
It is really cute when Lyza reads to Nixon (just ignore the fact that Nixon is wearing a princess dress)
The kids have been asking for a trampoline for a LONG time. We finally bought one and the kids helped me set it up yesterday
We got it partially set up (still have to do the enclosure and mat) and the kids were super excited

They especially liked jumping with their mom
Lyza went all out on her princess outfit yesterday. She even wore rings over her gloves. How fancy!
I cleaned out the gutters and put up the Christmas lights yesterday. I like getting more of a bird's eye view of our back yard
We watched these kids last night and it was like they were baby sitting our kids for us. Lots of fun.
Lyza was a little bit ridiculous before church this morning
Google just made this little compilation video from the "They Grow Up So Fast Series." Isn't Lyza so cute!
We hope you have a great week. Take care

Happy Halloween!

Mason turned 4 MONTHS old last week!
The kids had some fun reading in the tipi
We had lots of fun trick or treating together on Monday night. A couple of days before Lyza had to confirm with me that trick or treating would be our family home evening activity. She and Nixon got so scared by the different decorations at the houses.
Lyza had to stop and admire this big spider

We went for an hour and a half and they were really happy with what they got
We found this cute gnome in our garden
Nixon is the most persistent (also stubborn) person I have ever met. He is convinced that if he tries long enough he will be able to blow up a balloon. He will try for hours without getting frustrated. He took this one to bed with him and fell asleep with it in his mouth. I hope we can mold this into a strong character trait.
He likes creepy crawlies just like his sister. I don't understand the fascination with slugs.
Here is Nixon proudly showing off his artwork
We love Mason's big smiles that turn his eyes all squitny
With lots of rain and cold weather, a trip to the park is a really big treat
While grocery shopping this week Lyza helped the bagger get all of our groceries bagged
Doesn't he look so dreamy when he is sleeping?
Having some fun smiling and playing
Lyza got to go shopping yesterday morning with her mamma. One of the things they are searching for is a new Christmas dress. This one is cute, but I think they should keep looking
I took the kids to the beach park yesterday and it was BEAUTIFUL will all of the fall colors

The kids loved hopping on the big rocks

After the kids got to play in the backyard with their mamma
It is really fun seeing the differences between Lyza and Nixon. Lyza always wants someone to push her on the swing. Nixon is more than willing to push her, even though she is bigger than him
Lyza is getting excited for some Thanksgiving visitors. She has even started trash-talking her uncle Kevin
I think my favorite moment this week was when Mason started laughing hysterically all on his own. The bigger kids were acting silly with balloons and Mason thought it was so funny
We've had a good week and we hope you have too. Take care
