Maybe our last week of nice weather?

Well, we had some nice days this week

The kids had fun playing at the park and at the beach

 Mason had lots of fun playing in the sand

 And playing on the side

 Look at that smile

 Nixon fell in love with his 2-wheeler again and we have been on at least one bike ride every day

 He has an unusual love for kitchen wares

 All ready to exercise. What a sweet outfit

 He thinks he is a big kid

 Nap time wasn't long enough for Kim when she got to read in the sun

 Nice hat Mason

 This is the best Mason can do for the girls until he is a little older

 On one of the days while Lyza was in school Kim took on a few extra kids

 Kim did a toy swap this week and Nixon had a blast with his "new" toys

 The kids found this painted rock hidden at the park

 Kim might have gone overboard on these clearance baby wipes ;)

 Her Halloween costume got here yesterday

I recognize it is kind of lame when we blog about painting our mailbox. But that is how exciting our life is.

We got them all finished

We are happy with the final product

 Grandma came to visit us this week! Although she may never come back again with all of the work we made her do.

She picked apples

 That is a lot of apples for one tree

 She got to walk with Lyza to the bus

 She did get to have some daughter time with Kim

 There was a lot of canning! Pears, peaches, apple sauce, apple butter, salsa, and also dried fruit (bananas, pears, and fruit leather)

 The kids helped too

 Mason was giving grandma the BEST snuggles until we pulled out a camera

 One of the busy bees 

 They make a good team

 The kids love having Grandma visit

 Mason loves drinking from my glass

 TV time together (not sure why Nixon looks so disgusted)

 Nixon got to play lots of games with his grandma

 He loves emptying things out

 We had a dinner at work and I got to take this beautiful lady on a date

I added an extra shelf to our canning storage. All stocked up for the winter

 Mason has been playing a lot more independently with toys

 Google photos recently made us "They Grow Up So Fast" video compilations for Lyza and Mason (I guess Nixon isn't growing up as fast?)

Where are you summer?

Lyza vacuumed her room all by herself! She is growing up.

 The kids had what will probably be the last beach day of the year. Sad!

 He is supposed to be in bed...

 Kids: "All ready Mom"

Mom: "All ready for what?"

 Probably the last time on the slip-n-slide for the year

 They had a blast on the trampoline with water balloons. These ones were colored. Nixon's hair was blue for a day

 The kids went to the dentist

 Nixon had a really good experience, which was a huge improvement from last time

The kids have been practicing their ninja skills

Mason has been putting on dance parties for us

He practices in bed

He loves to open up the wipes containers and take everything out of them

He must have been so disappointed to find all of these still closed

 Nixon helped his mom pick tomatoes

 And showed off his mad swinging/surfing skills

 Lyza's hair after 2 day of french braids...so cute

 Mason tried using a spoon to feed himself for the first time this week

He did a pretty good job

 Mason also got to wear the Air Jordan's, thanks Kevin

 He likes to sweep outside

 Kim forced convinced me to help paint the mailboxes

 We also have a lot of apples to pick

 Mason was a pretty good helper

 He loves eating apples 

 But we aren't sure why he is so mad here. Maybe it is just intensity mistaken for anger

 What a haul, and there is still lots more to pick

Kim got the pantry organized and labeled

 Sometimes when our kids are unattended for a minute or two this is what happens
