Henry is unstoppable when he is on my team
I took the boys to a skate park with a pump track that we haven't been to in a while
We borrowed an ice cream maker from the library and Kim made huckleberry ice cream
Henry is getting close to his goal of reading 1000 books before kindergarten
Nixon had a primary activity fishing. He caught a fish and I caught nothing :(
The next day we were off to drive to Canada
With a few stops along the way
This park in Nanton is always fun
The first morning we had breakfast at Ikea
The little boys played while we shopped
Later that day Nixon and I went to an indoor climbing place
There were all types of climbing walls
While we were there everyone else went to All-Stars
The kids love the arcade at Uncle Peter's
Kim and I went to the temple with my parents and other family members
Kim got up early the next morning to work out with Aubrey
Saturday was the Piepgrass reunion
There was food, games, and lots of catching up
Most of the people that came
The filipino branch was out in the parking lot roasting a pig so I talked with them
Some of us stayed after the reunion ended and played games and had a good time
The kids watched a movie
After that the kids planned a talent show all on their own
Mason shared some of his amazing talents
There was singing
There was dancing
There was even kung-fu fighting
We all watched in amazement
What a great show!
Sunday we had dinner at the Koenitzes' and I got to help Simon roll meatballs (the food was amazing)
And Bad Dad read some books to the girls
We played Settlers of Catan (ask Simon who won)
The next day we were off to Stoney Plain to play with the Wolseys

The cousins played lots of different games together, including laser tag
And dancing
That evening we went to Wes and Joanne's for dinner, games, and to catch up
Our final day in Edmonton we went to Ben and Hayley's house to visit and have lunch
It was fun getting to know their beautiful little girls
There were also some boxing lessons from Uncle Ben
That afternoon it was off to Terwillegar to go swimming
After dinner we had our last supper at my parents' house
On our way down to Southern Alberta the next day we stopped in Kananaskis to hike the Jura Creek Trail
You hike up a creek that goes through a slot canyon and get to hike through the water, which was really fun on a hot day
Henry was very careful to keep his short dry ;)
There were some pretty difficult areas
Nixon and Mason took no efforts to avoid the water
This rock was a little too big for him to pick up
We had a BLAST together

Ready for more driving
Shortly after we stopped in Okotoks to see Kevin and Amanda, their girls, and their new house. We also had a great dinner before heading back on the road for the final leg to Welling.
It is hard to believe this was only half of our Great Canadian Adventure. More to come!
