We went on a family walk last Sunday and I got to give this handsome boy a shoulder ride

Here is Lyza dancing up a storm

Henry has been building some pretty epic train tracks

Isn't he the most adorable person sleeper? (that T-Rex)

I imagine Kim told them that if they looked directly into the sun she would give them popsicles...

Our tulips are looking pretty

They have got color now (and some of them have even opened up)

These Lily of the valley are also coming up

I enjoy looking through the week's pictures and seeing the things Kim has done with the kids. I especially enjoy the pictures of Mason that always begin so cute

And by the end of the sequence look something like this

I had court this week ;)

Not everyone gets their mail delivered by bike messenger

Lyza and I got a beautiful rainbow on our way to activities this week

Henry loves his scooter right now. We are also loving the popcorn trees in our neighborhood

"A" for Awesome

Kim and I had a lunch date yesterday at a new wood fired pizza place (delicious)

Time for some videos :)

This was Lyza getting ready for school one morning

Henry sang that song for the rest of the day

I love seeing Nixon helping Mason learn

Mason is quite the trickster (as if anyone was doubting that)

Have a great week and take care

Still A Little Too Cold for Swimming

I got an area cleaned up in the garage to store our road bikes

Here is a lovely sunset Kim captured

Thanks for mopping boys

These boys looked pretty silly running around with cushions on their heads

For family home evening we did some role playing and the kids liked this silly character I played

Kim and the kids flew a kite this week

He sure is proud of this one

The sign of a good smoothie

Nixon loves hopping around on the big boulders down at the park

He held Henry on the walk home

I think this is the first driveway art of the season

This moon looked cool framed with the trees

On Saturday morning I took my bike out for my first real ride. I rode to Riverstone Park (CDA) and back. It was lots of fun and I really enjoyed the warm weather and beautiful scenery

Yesterday we all went to the river park for a birthday party and then played at the beach. Henry had a blast throwing rocks into the water

Lyza had lots of fun getting her feet wet and playing in the mud

It didn't take long for Nixon to get right in the water

Lyza's Library

Today is a special installment of Lyza's Library. Not only do we get a book report, we also get a fable that Lyza wrote for school. Here is the Fable:

Why Lion Eats Meat

One day a long time ago Lion got so hungry that he roared in agony and clawed at the ground. When Lion gets hungry he will do anything to eat. He walked around the barren savanna and met Grass he snuck up on her, all of the sudden Grass turned around, she screamed. She ran away faster than a cheetah. “I’m so hungry!” the Lion roared. He kept walking and met Acai Tree. He crept up on him but Acai Tree turned around, screamed and ran away. Then Lion got a cunning idea. “If I bury all the plants legs underground they can’t run away!” Lion buried all the plants legs underground. Lion felt as if nothing could stop him. Finally it was time to bury Venus Flytrap's legs. She was in a deep sleep. But she woke with a start once Lion buried her legs. “WHAT ARE YOU DOING!” She yelled. She bit him several times on the flank. “OOOOOOOOOOOOW” Lion roared with pain and hatred. He turned tail and ran to the cave in hopes he could find Bat or Tarantula for a snack. From then on Lion was too scared to eat plants.

Note: regardless of what happened to Lion please eat your vegetables.

This week I finished Firestar’s Quest. Firestar’s Quest is in the Warriors series. In the book Firestar learns about a fifth clan driven out of the forest a long time ago and found a gorge but was driven out of there and became rogues and kittypets (pet cats). Will Firestar be able to rebuild skyclan?

Have a great week!

Easter

We enjoyed watching General Conference together on Easter Sunday

We took a family bike ride to one of Mason's friends' house so he could drop off some things he made for her

We also had a wonderful meal and invited our neighbors over for dinner and sadly did not get a picture

Henry has been climbing out of his crib so the side came off and now he has a big boy bed

We have sparrows that sing beautiful songs for us in the mornings

Henry is proud of his baby Yoda coloring

The boys got to blow some bubbles after a bike ride

We had bad weather Sunday afternoon so the egg hunt for the kids had to be postponed until later in the week

Some of the eggs were in tricky spots this year

Henry was happy with his harvest

Some of the eggs had carrots in them, which didn't make Nixon too happy

Or Lyza

The kids had fun though

We have buds on the apple trees

More bubbles and big smiles

Train/car time

We had a moose visit us this week and eat some of our tulips

I got a new (to me) road bike this week

We haven't had the best weather this week so I haven't been able to go on much of a ride. I have taken a few laps around the block though

One problem with a not-quite-big-enough-boy in a big boy bed is that he doesn't want to stay in his bed for nap time and falls asleep with the light on and blocking the door

Mason played hide and seek with Kim and this was one of his best hiding spots

This one was pretty good too

Mason loved this activity

Henry has been such a picky eater lately that he has resorted to cooking his own meals

Sometimes when these kids get on the trampoline together it gets pretty crazy

Nixon's rope climbing skills are impressive

Henry helped me do some yard work yesterday

One of the reasons we moved our fence and shed last year was so we could add some more raspberries. I transplanted some raspberries yesterday and fabriced and mulched the area

Lyza and her friend Jane got some Cupcake time yesterday in the bathtub

I am going to leave you with a concert from Mr. Henry

Have a great week!
