This Post Shall Not Have a Title

Nixon used his coupon to go for ice cream and got to take a friend with him
Nixon also got to help his mamma do some baking that afternoon
Last Sunday I got some pictures with the boys before church

We enjoyed playing some Sunday afternoon games together
This bunch is nothing but trouble
That evening Henry was giving Kim lots of love

He was also giving lots of smiles
Lyza got in on the action too
Lyza and Nixon ended out in time out at some point in the evening because they were playing a rough game and teaching Mason to hit. While they were in time out Mason started parroting what we told Lyza and Nixon and was scolding them. We missed getting the best parts on video but here is a glimpse of the guilt trip he gave them
That night there was supposed to be some sort of lunar eclipse. We had really cloudy skies so this is the best picture I was able to get of the moon
Monday was Martin Luther King Day so I had the day off of work
I had some extra Home Depot kids' projects that I did with the kids
That afternoon we went swimming as a family and had lots of fun. Mason was exhausted and had a nap when he got home. We couldn't wake him up later (which meant he didn't sleep well when it was his bed time). He is at such a tough age for sleeping
 Henry loves this thing
The next morning we woke up to a huge dump of snow (about 4 inches of wet heavy snow). School was cancelled so Lyza got to stay home

We made a couple big piles on the front yard that the kids enjoyed playing on
Look at the intensity on her face
The kids played outside in the snow a few different times that day

They also got to paint the Home Depot boats we made the day before because Mason pulled off all of the stickers
How is it possible to get that messy?
More fun in the snow
They boys also played in the sink

Nixon helped make some eggs for lunch
Mason was super tired and was melting down

On Friday night Lyza got to go one her ice cream date with her mom
Yesterday we did some puzzles with the boys
 Mason really enjoys puzzles
And Nixon is of course a pro
Yesterday afternoon we were all playing around with cameras (except for Kim and Henry, they are too cool ;)
I started filming and spontaneously gave Lyza this little interview
I went down to the river (using that term loosely since there is so little water right now) just before sunset to take a few pictures

Just before dinner Nixon used his baking coupon to make some cookies

Henry has been a little bit under the weather so I got some nice snuggles with him last night
Mason had a nap yesterday afternoon so he had a REALLY hard time going to be last night. When we went to bed this is how we found him (he has to have that light on so we think that is also making it harder for him to fall asleep)
Kim and Henry were adorable together during sacrament meeting this morning
Henry and I during elders quorum
We hope you have a great week. Take care

Slower Pace in January

There has been a lot of piling cushions and blankets and then jumping off of them lately
Kim had a temple and priesthood preview meeting this last Sunday so she used her letter board as a decoration
 Hello Mr. Squirrel
Lyza used a coupon to make a treat with Mom. She chose some chocolate chip cookie truffles
Mason got to help make them too
I took the kids down to the beach park and they had fun exploring in the forest
In the evening we got to eat the truffles

Nixon has mad skills and can eat a truffle without getting chocolate all over his face (I think he learned from me)
Mason learned how to eat from his mom ;)
Henry has rubbed the hair off the back of his head
Mason still loves to play with his magnatiles
That is a crazy hair do Lyza
Nixon helped get all of the boys' dress shoes ready on Sunday before church
I took the opportunity to get a portrait of my handsome 4 yer old before church
 Lyza too
And of course we did some silly faces

 I love this one
We had some lemons on the table for our water at Sunday dinner. Mason got a hold of them and enjoyed them more than we imagined

I got to use the light brite with Nixon
 Good work!

Here is Henry having some sleepy snuggles with Kim

For family home evening on Monday we made collages from old Friend magazines for our activity. Mason loved using the glue and scissors

Henry was so good watching us
Whenever he got hungry he just ate his bottom lip
 He LOVED cutting paper

 My serous baby
I am not sure what he was doing
The next day Mason got some more time with the paper and scissors. Here is the aftermath.
Henry always has smiles for his mom
He loves grabbing his feet and now his legs
Get ready...
This new jumper my office bought us is awesome
Kim getting some vitamin D with the boys
Kim found some Black Panther toys at Walmart on clearance for $1 each. Here is Nixon's reaction
Lyza had her first activity days activity and had lots of fun. They made smoothies (yum)
We got some snow this week so the kids got to get out and play

Nixon used his choice of dinner coupon this week. He chose waffles
It is amazing how much whipped cream straight out of the can Henry can eat!
Kim taught preschool this week. I don't think the subject was the food pyramid ;)

It had something to do with fish

Well after bed time Lyza came out of her room and snuck up on Kim wearing this
I tested out the time lapse feature on our camera this morning. Here is a time laps of me and the two big boys having breakfast
The big kids had gymnastics again today. They started off stretching
Their stretching is kind of silly
They got to play on the balance beam

They even used it backwards
And crawled on it like cats
They also worked on donkey kicks (because world class gymnasts all mastered the donkey kick before moving on to other routines and skills)

There are always a lot of smiles when they play with the parachute at the end (again, another fundamental gymnastics skill)

That's all for now. Have a great week and take care!
