Last Sunday before church I snuck a few pictures of the kids
There were a few shenanigans
The kids got a few things in their Easter baskets. Nixon got a cool Spider Man hat
Mason immediately started eating chocolate and candy
That afternoon we did an egg hunt for the kids
The buds on the apple trees have so much potential
The kids got to work opening all of their eggs and eating as much as possible
These two hung out in the hammock for a while, which was really cute
And it wasn't long until she had mud all over her hands and was playing with worms
We did Easter crackers
And everyone was really excited to wear the hats ;)
When Mason woke up he got a surprise
That evening we checked out the dam
Preschool on Monday was crazy hair day. Nixon's mom took it seriously and this is the result
He always looks so cute when he sleeps
Monday night we did a hot dog roast
And of course there were s'mores
We all had to shower to get the smoke off of us
These two are so cute together
The kids were really helpful as I power raked the backyard this week
Throwing up isn't very fun (he got a tiny piece of paper in his mouth that was gaging him)

We got to go in a fire truck at a library activity
These trees in front of the library are so beautiful
Speaking of beautiful, I got to go on a date with my wife. We did some hiking by the river and had a blast
I even got to practice some of my yoga moves (this is the flamingo)
It was so beautiful out and the river was high and fast
I had an awesome hiking companion
It was also nice to get outside and use the camera outside and not in the rain
We saw a cool waterfall from the dam

On Saturday morning I spotted this song bird on the top of one of our cedars
I hear these birds all the time but never really see them because they are so small
(excuse the clicking sounds in the video, I needed to make some adjustments and the internal microphone did a great job picking up the noise)

This is one of the few pictures I could take of soccer of Saturday before the weather got crazy
They got hail at our house before Nixon and I got it at the soccer game. Mason was furious that it was getting everything "dirty"
He went out before it finished and tried to clean it all off
This video is mostly sped up 2x. You will see Mason trying to clean it all up, swinging the broom to stop it from coming down, getting mad at the rain and hail, and taking a little break to drink it up off of the bench ;)
Soccer was rough because it was cold, windy, rainy, and hailed.
You could definitely tell that Nixon was a little distracted
I guess it is a lot to ask the 5-year-olds pay attention to the game instead of eating the ice
Last night I went and saw Avengers: End Game and really enjoyed it. While I was gone it looks like the kids read scriptures the whole time ;)
