Happy Second Birthday Henry!

Before Mason went to bed on Kim's birthday he gave her some of the artwork and cards that he had been working on all week
I love his explanation of this card
The next day Kim and the kids (sans Henry) went to Silverwood
After Henry and I had dinner we decided to bike to CDA (upon the recommendation of my marathoner wife)
I took a lot longer (45 minutes) and was a lot harder than I thought it would be
Meanwhile they were having a blast at Silverwood
Including letting Mason drive a car

Terrifying!
Henry and I had a blast watching the ducks

There was also a little bit of duck chasing
It was a BEAUTIFUL evening

I had lots of fun just hanging out with my little Henry
The sunset on the way back home was beautiful
Train ride at the end of the night
Apparently Nixon can do a backflip?
All four kids working together at the beach? Wonderful!
Some of Kim's friends took her out for dinner and dessert for her birthday
Lyza got her room all cleaned up before bed and it looked so nice
I took Thursday off and we went to the beach where we camped earlier in the month
The sand there is really nice
Our friends brought paddle boards
Paddle boarding quickly devolved into silly games
And even sillier games
All the kids on one paddle board
They dug a really deep hole
Henry loves these shovels
Mason had so much fun with his friend Vena. When he said his prayers before bed the first thing he said was "Thank you I could play with Vena."
Henry turned 2 on Friday!
He started the day off with some balloons and dancing

He then had a delicious breakfast
Some more balloons
Cards
Opening presents

And playing with his new presents
He had a pretty fun morning
In the evening we did the Mudgy and Millie book and walk around CDA

He was a happy boy

These fountains are made to be played with
"I am groot"
We had fun at this first park

What a happy birthday boy
My beautiful wife
Kim and I both thought these fire escapes were pretty cool
Lyza doing some modeling down town
There are five different statues of the moose and mouse

We stopped and played at a second park

He needed me to hold his hand

Another beautiful summer evening

Last statute just as our parking was about to expire
We came home and had some cake

He loved singing the birthday song
He made short work of his cake
Then he got to play with the helium balloons we forgot to bring out earlier
That night I set up the camera and a timer and took some pictures of the stars from the backyard
These two are multiple pictures combined (between 160 and 300) so you can see the trails of the stars as they move in the sky

This is a time lapse of 1300 photos taken over 7 hours showing the stars moving in the sky. The video is 4k and looks really good except Youtube will only show it in 1080p which makes it look more blocky and not as nice
On Saturday morning Kim and some friends went for an 18 mile bike ride. This was Kim's first time on a road bike and it was much easier than an old cheap mountain bike
We found a little mouse at the beach yesterday
We went to the beach and had one of my co-workers and his family over for dinner and s'mores last night
Mason liked the 4 month old baby
Summer = s'mores
We hope you have a good week
Take care
