Sledding, Laser Tag, and Basketball

Mason finds a lot of satisfaction in finishing puzzles
Here he is on his first day of primary
Good luck getting him to hold still
On MLK day we went sledding as a family
There was also some playing on snow hills
And Henry getting mad at the snow stuck on his mittens
We didn't bring this water bottle (gross)
I am not sure Henry appreciates this kiss
 Mr. Independent
 Lyza's creative breakfast
 Obstacle course at the
Kroc
This is what Henry looks like when he is saying "cheese"
 Cool craft
Our snow is melting fast so out come the bikes
Friday night I took Lyza and Nixon to Triple Play for a school sponsored activity. We did lots of things like a 3-D ride, lasers room (where you have to sneak through without hitting any lasers), ropes course, bumper cars, laser tag, and water park. We all had so much fun and stayed up WAY too late!
The next morning while I was still sleeping Kim captured this amazing sun rise
We all went to Cabela's and the kids did some shooting
Lyza had her very first basketball game yesterday. She practiced her shot before the game.

 Got all stretched out
 And she got to work
She worked really hard, especially on defense
Kim went night skiing

Lyza and Nixon have caught the YouTube/film maker's bug and have been making silly videos today. Here are three of my favorite:
Kissing
Sitting in the car
Hugging
Take care!

Lots of Henry Laughing

Lyza looked so good for church last week I had to get a photo of her. You can also see her pretty necklace
Kim got a haircut last weekend so I also got a picture of her (beautiful)
This is our leaning snow man. He has been leaning all week through snow and melting and is still standing strong
I guess it is hard to get after Henry when he is so cute?
The kids have even tried to tip the snow man over without success

 Mason hard at work
Lyza got to do some extra skating with her mom after her lesson this week
Henry had so much fun this evening emptying his drawers into the laundry basket
Henry was on a roll this evening. Laundry, basketball, and dancing
Henry loves eating cereal for breakfast like a big boy
 Pre-bed cuddles withi his mama
This is not going to end well...
 ...
Good thing there was a window inbetween
Henry thought it was so funny when Nixon and Masosn threw the snow at the window
I think Mason was ready to go back inside
The circus was in town (watching 4 kids while their parents went to the temple)
Henry has really enjoyed this toy
Kim went rock climbing on Friday night and she was awesome!

 Nixon also rocked it!

Lyza had team pictures yesterday (before she has had a game)
After basketball I took the three oldest kids sledding. The hill was way too fast (or too short for the speed). It was kind of dangerous. No one died. Some were injured.
Take care

Welcome back snow...don't stay too long

We began the new year doing what we love...putting away Christmas decorations
Nixon used one of the coupons from his coupon book to have a sleepover with me. We watched Descendants
Mason in his element at the bouncy house
The next night Lyza used a coupon to have a sleepover with Kim. She even made this sign to hang on the door: "Do not come in! Sleepover in progress!"
 Nixon made this for me
These two boys did some serious crafting together last Saturday

Henry is obsessed with Nixon's drone

When we take pictures of Henry he says "cheese" now
 Mason sharpening his stacking skills

Henry got to play with some oversized bowling pins at the Kroc Center
The tipi has also made a return
Henry (and all of the kids) really liked dessert this night
Kim and Nixon have been getting pretty serious with Lego
 A gramaphone
Mason has been having a hard time falling asleep if Nixon goes to bed at the same time. So Nixon has been getting some alone time to do fun things like Light Bright while Mason falls asleep
We all went to the Kroc Center in the evening and Nixon rock climbed while Lyza and I ran and practiced basketball
I also tried some rock climbing for the first time ever and it was HARD! It was also petrifying letting go of the wall and trusting in the auto-belay system to catch me before I free fell to the ground. It all worked out in the end. I have a whole new appreciation for the difficulty we have "letting go" of things
Sometimes Kim gets to eat breakfast with Henry on the table entertaining her
The snow started falling here on Friday and Nixon immediately took advantage of it. He was out on his new snow scooter trying new tricks

We got about 7-10 inches of snow on Friday (have you ever noticed everyone predicts the amount of upcoming snow fall but after the fact it is difficult to find out how much actually fell?) and Kim shovelled three separate times (I shovelled once) including this shovelling at about 8:30 pm
I think she was just trying to get some time to herself (and I can't blame her)
We had a feast for breakfast yesterday

The big boys and I made a snowman yesterday morning
Lyza also got out in the snow and had a blast
Kim and I had a Costco date yesterday shopping and picking out new glasses. When we got back home the kids were all dressed up in silly costumes. Here is how Lyza looked.
Have a great week and take care
