Merry Christmas! - 2019

We have read a lot of Christmas books together
Lyza decided that using her nebulizer as a microphone is much more fun
 We decorated gingerbread houses

Henry was happy to watch us and eat

 Here is our village
Drinking straight out of the bottle
Kim and the kids tackled a 550 piece puzzle together
Mason made a huge snake out of play dough
 Lookin good Nixon
The Sunday morning before Christmas Nixon was just glowing
We got a few pictures together after church

This was probably the best one ;)
Henry did not want a picture with Mason
Lyza and Nixon each did some modelling

The kids were hard at work making Christmas cards for singing at the retirement home the next day
Sunday night the kids had a skating performance

The program was an hour and a half and this is all our kids did
The kids looked cute but I am not sure it was worth the kids sitting around in the cold for so long after they skated
Mason still looked happy afterward
 They look cute together
The kids helped Kim make sugar cookies

Soooo many sprinkles from this little boy

Monday evening we went Christmas carroling at an assisted living facility with friends. It was really fun!
German pancake for breakfast the next morning
I took Henry and Nixon out for a walk to the river and there wasn't much of a river to look at
Nixon got to bring a camera along so he immediately began photographing the cutest subject he could find
I did find a pretty view
We have checked everything off of our Christmas bucket list
Playing Skip-Bo together on Christmas Eve Day was lots of fun

 Christmas Eve dinner together
We attempted to act out the Christmas story together and had a fun time
What a cute bunch
Lyza and Kim also put on a wonderful piano performance. Lyza wasn't feeling 100% but did a great job. Kim should have practiced that second song a little more ;)
We watched The Littlest Angel together

Left some cookies and notes for Santa
 Santa came!

Lyza didn't sleep very well and was ready to get started on presents
Lyza and Nixon were first to go through their boots
 Cool sword
 Christmas morning cuddles with Mama
Kim and I got to look through our boots (thanks for taking the picture Lyza)
Here are some of the highlights from opening gifts:
The kids got coupon books again this year and as you can see, Nixon was thrilled
 He also got a drone
The drone in action
 And walkie talkies
 Lyza got some cute stuffies
Lyza started reading her new Minecraft book right away
 Nice new hat
Henry eventually woke up and checked out his boot
 He loved this toy
 New dress shirts for daddy
Nixon got the coolest wolf pajamas
Lyza made us an awesome Christmas decoration
Henry helped himself to breakfast
Mason was the last to wake up
 A little flashlight!
 And Spider Man web shooters
Henry had some help with this big gift
 A shopping cart
The kids got some really nice gifts from their Aunt Ashley

And toothbrushes! Lyza's letter to Santa asked for a new toothbrush ;)
 Kinetic sand
Lyza and Nixon each used some of their own money to buy each other a present at the school Santa's workshop. They ended out buying each other the same thing, haha
I was so excited to get a box with my name on it
 Bring on the whipped cream!
Mason got right to work on his new water coloring book
Kim got an Instant Pot. Yummy!
I got a new backpack that I will put to good use on our upcoming trip to Savannah
We got a new family sled

Henry opening his gift from Grandma and Grandpa
Kim got some sort of face massager thing
Cute hat for a cute boy
Nixon made this wonderful decoration for us (and took this wonderful picture)
Lyza got a kit to make her own pearl necklace. She got to open an oyster and take the pearl out of it
The peach color stands for health
And then she got to put it in a necklace (that she is very reluctant to ever take off)
 She is so beautiful!
Henry (and then Mason) got to try out Henry's new bath toys
The kids love this coding game they got from their Aunt Ashley
This spinning thing has also made its rounds with the kids
I spent way too much time learning how to sole my Rubik's Cube
 More work on the puzzle
We all tried out our new Just Dance
And we finished the day off with salted carmel apple pie. It was delicious!
We hope you all had a wonderful Christmas!
Take care
