Pinewood Derby, Math Competition, Tubing, Lots of Skiing, and Welcoming Skiing

There was no time to rest after returning home from Hawaii

Nixon and I had to finish his pinewood derby car

It turned out pretty good

It was also a fast car

There was only one car that was faster

Nixon was pretty happy to win second place

That evening we were able to give the kids the gifts we brought back from Hawaii for them

And the family ukulele

Mason and Kim got right to work building his sea turtle

The next night Nixon has his recorder concert

That same night Lyza had a math competition with dozens of teams from the various elementary schools in the district

Lyza got sixth place! She was on top of the world.

We are so proud of our mathlete!

The next day we woke up to fresh snow and warm weather

So we headed to the hill for some sledding/tubing

Nixon has gotten really good with this thing

We had lots of fun together

On March 14th we had apple pie (my second day of a very busy three-day trial)

These two having fun together

We had a ward potluck that was family history themed and Lyza and Nixon helped make a poster about Abner Bohne, their great-great grandfather

Lyza's teacher got her this book

The challenge kids had a STEM fair at the school and Lyza helped in the bug room

She made this

The kids tried their best to catch a leprechaun on St. Patrick's Day but were again unsuccessful

They did get marked by the leprechaun though

Kim had a ski trip with some friends last week

It was a beautiful warm day and she had lots of fun

I got to hang out with Henry for the day and even take him into the office
We also had lunch together at Texas Roadhouse

The next day I got to take Nixon skiing. It was my first time riding the gondola up to the ski resort

It was a little too bright for Nixon to keep his eyes open

It was a BEAUTIFUL day

This lift went straight up at the end

Here is some footage of our skiing. I know it is a long video but make sure you check out these spots for the highlights: 00:00-01:51; 02:55-05:02; and 15:21-END

While we were on the hill Kim and the other kids were enjoying a warm sunny day

Mason has gotten pretty serious with origami. This is a Pokémon holder he made

Henry flipping on the big pillow with a safe handing area underneath

Henry got to use his frozen yogurt gift card

The kids had their first day of spring break yesterday and Mason got to have a friend over all day

We also set the trampoline up

My new GoPro arrived yesterday so I got to test it out with Nixon

Playing at the park yesterday with friends

We are looking forward to a warm and fun spring break with some family visiting!
Take care
