Happy Thanksgiving! (And welcoming Christmas)

I missed that last weekend Kim got to celebrate her friend's 40th birthday with a Bunco party

A sunrise that was worth remembering

Kim and Lyza snuggled up watching something together

Kim made an apple pie for Thanksgiving

Nixon was so helpful with preparing food. He helped cut up the bread to make stuffing.

On Thanksgiving morning we all got out to run a 5k around our neighborhood

Lyza and the little boys ran just over a mile then the rest of us carried on to finish it all up

The local pie shop had a bunch of orders that were not picked up so they asked for volunteers to deliver pies to various places. We delivered 8 full size pies to a hospice center

Mason showing off the headband he made?

I took a large panoramic photo of a portion of our neighborhood and the river with the drone. I almost got our house in the picture but missed it by a few houses

We played some games together while the food cooked

Look at that beautiful bird!

We had a delicious dinner together

Mason was so happy to eat meat off the bone

Another headband? He loves to craft...

The next day was the day to set up the Christmas decorations, beginning with Christmas hats

The kids were really helpful setting up decorations this year

We took a break and I took the big kids (and Lyza's friend) to see the new Hunger Games movie (it was really good)

We read some Christmas books

Then we set up the tree

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas in our house

These two have played many rounds of Monopoly Jr. the last couple of days

What a happy lunch

Yesterday we decorated the tree

These ornaments our friends made for us last year are the best!

When the tree was finished it was time for some dance lessons

Henry and I did some coloring together yesterday and it was so cute to see his tongue moving while he was concentrating

Nixon helped make pizza for dinner last night and it was very tasty

Have a great week!
