A couple weekends ago Lyza had friends over to play various games and they had a blast
The only criticism I had was how loud that many kids together indoors can be ;)
Here's Henry eating his snacks and watching the big kids play
Lyza was so kind and let Nixon and Mason (and even Henry at times) play with them and her brothers had so much fun
Two Sundays ago we had two moose right across the street from our house before church
The mom was eating off the ground
While the baby was eating off the trees
This is quite the pose
You can tell the baby is a male by the bumps above the eyes (where the antlers will come in)
The mom decided it was time to change locations
Mason watching (with a balloon in his mouth) from the front porch
The mom started eating from bushes at our neighbor's house
Baby then followed
They worked on this bush together
This is what it looks like when they eat from this type of bush
Mason has been doing so well with his piano lessons and practicing
Lyza had a parent teacher conference. This is one of her writing assignments where they were supposed to write about what grade they thought they deserved on an assignment they submitted previously. She was apparently very persuasive.
She got to go out for acai bowls after
That night Kim and I went out for dinner. It was delicious. This is the corn bread we had as an appetizer. After we had the most amazing chicken sandwiches.
Because all the kids have done so well in school so far this year we decided to take them all to Triple Play for their day off before the Veteran's' Day weekend.
Henry was brave and tried the jr. ropes course.
Nixon and Mason tried the big one!
Mason loved doing the laser games (you are in a room and there are lasers that come out and you have to dodge them to complete missions)
We all played some rounds of laser tag and had a blast (pun intended)
Lyza and Nixon tried a virtual reality game
Then it was time for bumper cars
And then we finished off the day with swimming and water slides
Here are some clips of the fun
Henry had a homework assignment to disguise a turkey
He turned it into Mario
This week we gave Lyza an early birthday present and gave her tickets to Les Misérables. She was pretty excited.
She went with her mom and had a wonderful evening.
The next night I took Nixon (for an early birthday gift as well?)
It was an amazing show!
Yesterday Mason went to a birthday party at the roller rink
And he got to play games after
I took Henry on a date to Burger King (and Nixon tagged along since he is obsessed with burgers)
We have been playing lots of new games this weekend that we borrowed from the library
Mason set the table this morning for breakfast and was happy to help
Have a great week and take care!
