Grandparents, Halloween, and the Moose are Back!

Let's catch up on the last couple of weeks

Henry asked to read some books with me a couple of weeks ago and it was so fun seeing the joy it brought him to succeed and get through some new books

The kids have all gotten report cards and are crushing it

We had the full-time missionaries over for dinner and this elder shared one of his talents with us

That's a pretty good Pokemon drawing for Henry

Kim get's to help in Henry's class once a week and loves seeing him in action

She even stayed and had lunch with him this time

The elementary school did a costume parade for Halloween. Here is Nixon in his money costume.

Mason as Pikchu

And Henry as Spider-Man

There was a family Halloween carnival that night with lots of games

And bingo

I cleaned out the gutters and hung the Christmas lights while I was up there

Grandma and Grandpa Bullock arrived that day and joined us at our ward chili cookoff

We also had a trunk or treat

The kids sorted out and compared their candy

The next morning I took three of the kids to clean the church. They earned donuts for helping.

Lyza graciously gave up her room while Grandma and Grandpa stayed with us so she got to sleep over in our room for a few nights.

Kim and Grandma made gourmet caramel apples

Nixon, Grandpa, and I walked down to the river in the morning while it was still steaming

The colors were beautiful

They searched for treasure on the beach

Meanwhile there was some perler beading going on

Then we all packed up on a chilly day to hike Tubbs Hill

That evening we carved pumpkins

Check out those results

Henry helped me make this penny drop game. He even wrote the numbers all by himself ;)

It has been a hit

Henry had a cute friend sit next to him during sacrament meeting last week and they were so cute together

We played some Rook of course

Kim and Grandma did some shopping and got some Cafe Rio

Nixon got to skip school on Monday and hike with Grandpa

We had a spooky dinner for Halloween

The kids ready to raid the neighborhood

We had no rain! The harvest was good to them this year.

The moose have returned for the season

This is a couple streets West of us

Kim found the kids' silly pictures at the school

This cat would not leave our backyard

The moose were across the street yesterday morning when we woke up

Lyza started off the day yesterday with some exercising and Nixon joined her.

Have a great week!
