A couple weeks ago Henry helped Kim make cookies for his new primary teacher
Lyza got to try out different musical instruments at school to see if she would like to learn one
She chose clarinet (which is what I first played in band) so it will be fun to see her learn that
One morning I found Henry sitting on the piano bench with a fresh box of Honey Nut Cherrios and I though it was worth a picture
Some beach time
Last week we went out to our friends' cabin an hour and 15 minutes East of CDA. It is right next to a creek and tucked into the trees and hills
This is what it looks like from 1600 feet in the air
It is a very beautiful area
There is a zip line the kids really enjoy
Nixon got to ride this little dirt bike a lot
Playing in the creek is lots of fun
And there are lots of 4 wheelers that are lots of fun
Kim found some time in the hammock with a book
There was also some sitting around on an old church pew and talking
We had a delicious meal together

I set the camera up over night to take some photos. Here is a star trail photo
I made a video showing the star movement over the night
I was up way too early the next morning so I took a walk with the camera

The next day was more of the same
Lyza took me on a 4 wheeler ride
Nixon was on this thing almost the whole time it seems
That afternoon some of us went on a hike to an old growth cedar forest nearby
The trees were really impressive
There was lots of damage from a fire that had gone through at some point
