Dance Party and Nixon Turns 6

We got the kids a light machine to make our dance parties even more epic. We meant to give it to the kids on Valentine's Day but forgot so they got it the next day

We have disco fever

 Mason has been playing with these couch cushions a lot 

 

The only place to find snow around here is in the huge piles that haven't melted yet

 Henry has been loving playing with the pom-poms

 The kids got out on their bikes while Henry pretended he was shovelling snow 

 Friday was Nixon's 100th day of school and since he was home Kim helped him (and Mason) make necklaces with 100 fruit loops on them

 It used to be sooo hard to change Henry's diaper becaue his hands were always going to the wrong place. Things have gotten much better now that he loves to look at books during his diaper changes

 This looks like a clown car to me!

 It was so nice yesterday that we shot some hoops

And played a little base ball

 Kim and Nixon went out together to do some activities to celebrate his birthday

They went to Triple Play and Nixon got to pan for precious gems 

 They also got to play some games

 And they played laser tag

I took the rest of the kids for a walk and to play at the park

 Henry's hair was a little out of control

 Nixon also got to do some shoe shopping 

 And they got to go out to dinner together

 Nixon also won a creeper from the claw game at the grocery store

Today is Nixon's 6th birthday!

we ABSOLUTELY love our Nixon! He is sweet, caring, energetic, athletic, fun-loving, thoughtful, and so many other wonderful things! (did I mention he is ridiculously good looking too?)

We are celebrating Nixon's birthday today as a family so check back next week for our fun birthday celebration.

35th Birthday, Savannah, Valentine's Day, and 12th Wedding Anniversary!

Mason has to have his hampster with him while he is eating breakfast

 The kids have had lots of time to play with Grandma and Grandpa

They also help Grandma when she is on the computer

 It is hard to get mad at someone for drawing on the walls when his drawings are so cute 

 Maybe he was drunk?

 We had to get a picture of them all together before we abandoned them

 We celebrated my birthday a few days early. Who doesn't like getting socks?

 And a new basketball

 There was lots of help with the candles

With the kids in good hands we were off to Savannah!

We had lots of fun!

It was also fun coming home to our favorite little people  

 We brough a few gifts home for the kids. Mason got a pirate treasure chest

 Lyza got a unicorn stuffie

 And Nixon got a dolphin puzzle

 A couple of nights ago Henry slipped and fell on his face in the kitchen. He cut his bottom lip open really bad.

 The next morning it was looking pretty strange (today it looks almost perfect). Thank goodness it heals quickly

 Nixon got to play with some rice

 Mason didn't want to wait for Kim to finish her phone call (I think she was talking to me) so he decided he would make his own lunch...

This is the same boy that sings while he colors

Henry is growing up so fast so I am trying to document his cuteness the best I can

 Kim planned a nice meal for Valentie's Day together

 The kids loved their fancy drinks with licorice straws

 Henry liked his dessert the most!

 Lyza has been home from school a lot (she was just recently diagnosed with whooping cough 😨)

Her class made her a really sweet Valentine's card. Her spirits had been pretty low and getting this card made her so happy!

Well, Lyza might not be the only one with whooping cough. Suffice it to say, there is great sickness in our house.

Kim and I are celbrating our 12th wedding anniversary today!

I am not sure the things we will do today fit the standard definition of "celebration." However, I am so lucky for the time that we have had to spend together, the life we have made together, and the beautiful family we have been blessed with!

These last 12 years have been absolutely wonderful!

Although the celebration today might not be the best, we had lots of fun time together in Savannah
