Sit back and enjoy some fun movies of Lyza!
This first one is of us just hanging out at home enjoying some good family time. These are my favorite days :)

Here are the many voices of Lyza.

Recipe: Banana Quesadillas

We have been making these quesadillas quite a bit lately and really enjoying them! So if you are looking for a yummy treat you can give these a try.

Ingredients:
2 Tbsp peanut butter
4 Tbsp low fat cream cheese
1 1/2 tsp honey
1/4 tsp cinnamon
4 (8 inch) whole wheat flour tortillas
3 ripe bananas

Directions:
1. Stir together peanut butter, cream cheese, honey and cinnamon.
2. Spread peanut butter mixture on each tortilla.
3. Peel and slice banana on one half of the tortilla.
4. Fold each tortilla in half.
5. Coat a frying pan with non stick cooking spray and heat over medium heat.
6. Place tortillas on frying pan and cook on each side 1-2 minutes until golden brown.

If you want to make  them a little more desserty top with icing sugar, whip cream or chocolate sauce.

Busy month

I feel like September has just flown by. We haven't been able to get out and do too much recently because Lyza and I have been sick and life has just been busy! Daniel has had a lot of school work he is trying to keep up with. He also has had 5 interviews over the past few weeks for jobs next summer. Since he has had so many interviews I decided that I better jump on the band wagon and will be having an interview at the Hospital next week! It is scary but exciting to think about going back to work.
Here are some pics of our cute little big girl....

 checkin out the grass.
Talking to David in Ottawa....Lyza wanted to get in on the conversation.
 9 MONTHS OLD!!!!!!
The other day I gave Lyza a pan with some water in it and a few other random things to play with. She thought it was a blast and it kept her entertained for almost 45 minutes! That's a long time in Lyza minutes :)

 wrinkly feet!
 Little sicky getting some zzzzzzzzzzzz's
.
We spent a lot of time last weekend in the rocking chair. Lyza was really congested and this was the only way she could sleep
Check out this fun game Mom!
Apparently Lyza only likes bottles if they are REALLY big! haha
She now fits into size 2 shoes. That means she gets to wear her super cute shoes that Grandma Keyes gave her...doesn't she look cute?
We had fun at a baby shower this morning. I even got to wear a toilet paper diaper for one of the games.
Here's a video of Lyza practicing her dance moves to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Maybe she should be an Oompa Loompa for Halloween this year :)

Our Past Week

We have now been back in Moscow for a month. It has gone by so quickly! Lyza turned 9 months old today.....where did our little baby go? She has grown up so much this past month. At her doctor's appointment this week she was 27 " tall (45%) and 16lbs 9 oz (15%).
One of her favorite things to do is find a cupboard and take everything out of it! Of course the tupperware cupboard is always a hit, and she is always so proud of what she has done.
A close second to the tupperware cupboard is the drawer under the oven. Don't let that innocent face fool you....this girl has got some tricks up her sleeper!
 and she's off!
Playing under the table and making funny faces at Mom.
I know kids generally don't think their parents are very cool but I thought I would of had a couple more years before this started......

Lyza would live in the bath if we let her, she LOVES bath time!
Last week when I got Lyza up from her nap I found her crib rails looking like this.....looks like those new teeth are working just fine.
So with a little help from Lyza ;)

I whipped up some covers for the rails.
Lyza LOVES it when we let her play piano.
This weekend we watched some kids from our ward while their parents were out on a date, and they will be returning the favor next weekend :) These girls were 3 years old and the baby was one month older than Lyza.
This week I signed us up to receive a Bountiful Basket. They come once a week and cost $15. Each week is different and you never know what you are going to get until you pick it up. I was shocked at how much produce we got and it all looks SO delicious. We will definitely be getting these baskets often and it sure beats grocery shopping!
A couple of weeks ago I found some plastic Easter eggs I had bought last Easter. I pulled them out for Lyza to play with and they have been her new favorite toy. She always seems to have one in hand as she roams all over the house.
This weekend was the Latah County Fair. We got to join in on the fun Saturday evening. We had fun looking at all of the animals and different exhibits.
We are going to have to start drinking a lot of pop if we want a tree like this for Christmas.
One of the buildings had a huge train set in it. It was pretty cool to look at.
My favorite part was this little drive in theater. They even had a real movie playing at it!
Lyza and I checking out the quilt exhibits.
Lyza is getting pretty good at walking with some assistance. She enjoys exploring the house this way.
We will leave you with a couple of videos. This first one I managed to capture one of Lyza's funny faces she has been doing quite often.

Lyza enjoys checking herself out at the mirror and always has a lot to say to herself.
Hope you all have a GREAT week!

All I want for fall is my 2 front teeth!

Last week was a long week as we waited for Lyza's 2 front teeth to make their appearance. She had a few days that were pretty uncomfortable for her and some long nights of throwing up, baths and a lot of laundry :) We are happy that she is over her teething now and back to her usual self.

She looks so cute and grown up with her new teeth!

Here she is last Sunday in a dress I found in a box that I had forgotten about. I'm glad I found it before summer was over!
Daniel had no school on Monday so we drove to Kamiak Butte and did a little 3.5 mile hike that looked over the Palouse area.
It was a very hot day but we had a lot of fun.

A view of the rolly hills of the palouse.

Yesterday pitas were on sale at Pita Pit for 2.99 so we picked up a couple and walked to the Arboretum and had a picnic. I enjoyed not having to cook supper and it was nice to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful gardens.

Here are a couple of videos of what Lyza has been up to. She is getting much faster with her crawling....it is hard to keep up with her. If she needs to go a far distance she relies on her military crawl but if something is nearby she will now do a "normal" crawl.
This past week Lyza also learned to clap. She does it all the time now and thinks it is so funny. I love that she does a little lady clap, holding one hand still and clapping it with the other.
