It's Getting Spooky Around Here

Nixon has been such a good helper with the yard work

 We painted and carved pumpkins for family home evening.

Nixon didn't like the pumpkin guts as much

The kids' pumpkins turned out nicely

 Mason thinks he is a big guy

 When these two come rolling down the sidewalk people step aside

 This turtle has turned into Nixon' stool to get into things he otherwise can't reach

 He is getting pretty good at building

Mason seems like he is really enjoying that book

These monster feet look like a lot of fun

Looks like Mason fell asleep at the wheel again

On Friday the kids did some trick r treating at my office

They were a cute bunch

We went for dinner at IHOP that evening. Having this child try and eat when he is not buckled into a chair is not very enjoyable

But he had lots of kisses

He made sure to spend equal time on each side of the table

Why was she coloring her finger nails?

The kids got to decorate their pancake faces

Games of Jenga with Nixon don't last very long

We did some work around the yard yesterday and Mason just slept in the fresh air

Lyza had lots of fun planting tulips with her mom

Lyza got her hair straightened this morning for church

  Mason wore this outfit for the first time

 Don't they look cute together?

 This little stinker wouldn't go to nursery by himself

Lyza and Nixon were dancing really well together the other night and this video was supposed to capture that. Instead, it captured Nixon face planting. He got really hurt! Poor little guy.

Pickin' Pumpkins

Google thought I needed to be reminded of fun times with me and Mr. Nixon. Maybe it knows how frustrated I have been with him the last three weeks for not going to nursery

 Meanwhile Mason has been loving his jumper

 Looks like Kim has been putting Nixon to work doing laundry

 I saw this on my way home from work this week

 Lyza really likes her preschool friends

 Kim has also been putting Nixon to work raking up all of the pine needles in the yard 

This maple in our front is really pretty right now

 We have had so much rain that when the rain stopped the kids had a blast doing activities they had nearly forgotten, like riding their bikes

 And playing at the park. They acted like it was something new and amazing

 For scouts this week we had a pack meeting and I took Nixon along. We got to pick pumpkins after and this is the one he chose

 He was happy to see Remi there too

 Sometimes Lyza's morning hair is ridiculous

 Kim taught preschool this week. They learned about the seasons and of course made some crafts like fall wreaths

 Lyza loves making jam with her mom

 Kim got Mason's Halloween costume all done. What a cute little gnome!

I love the colors this time of year. Kim does a nice job decorating our house 

 Bouncing can make you tired

 We took the kids out to a farm yesterday to look at some pumpkins. It was the last day of the season so all of the nice big ones were gone. But there were lots of little pumpkins left and the kids like those the most

 Mason enjoyed himself too

 We had a ward harvest party and Trunk 'r Treating activity last night. There were games for the kids to play

 Nixon loved all of the candy

 Not bad for their first run over a week before Halloween

 My handsome little boys were matching for church today

 Too bad Nixon wouldn't go to nursery on his own today. At least the nursery had a better lesson than in elders quorum. 

 We had the primary program in sacrament meeting today. Lyza did such a great job! The scriptures were a large part of the theme, so at the end of church the kids got these yummy scriptures. She even shared with her dad. What a sweetie!

Mason's babbling has been really amusing

Nixon has also been especially fun to tease lately
