Who needs a title?

For Father's Day Kim kept the tradition alive and made me an awesome card with pictures of the kids. I took it to work before I could scan it, but the theme was "you rock."
These are a few of the photos she took
Mason's face is the best here
 What a mouth full
So cute! My wife is AMAZING
The kids had a bike activity at the library where they got their bikes inspected, helmets fitted, and there was a bike obstacle course

They also learned the rules of the road and traffic safety
And there was a lion there

Bubbles
Nixon has perfect bubble blowing form
 Mason is so busy!
The swimming pool is fun even when it is empty
Nixon got these nasty bug bites one morning
We have had a heat wave so the pool is a welcome relief to the kids
We (mostly Kim) have been working hard on our railing. Nixon is a good helper too when it comes to sanding
Lyza helped her mom pick some lettuce from the garden for dinner.
She also picks the cutest outfits ;)
And dances like no one is watching

Her moves just keep getting better
Lyza and I went on a date this week
We went to a movie together and had to take a picture next to this Spider Man display
The movie started at 6:50 and her bed time is usually between 7:30 and 8. She had a purse full of M&Ms too. Between the tummy ache and being tired, we only lasted about 20 minutes into the movie before she wanted to go home. But we still had a fun time.
Kim got the railing all sanded
While Lyza and Nixon played hop-scotch
Our strawberries have been doing well
Mason is getting adventurous at the playground
Nixon drastically reduces his risk of a head injury while at the park by never taking off his helmet. His Grandma Keyes would be proud.
Nixon tried this same move but wasn't tall enough and had an epic fall, but his head was OK!
Mason thought the swing with daddy was so funny
Lyza looked like a raptor on the swing

It is embarrassing that I look more scared than Mason
 These two are pros
Kim stained the railing all by herself. Have I mentioned that she is amazing?
Mason liked playing peek a boo with her
The railing is all done and perfect!
Here is the before and after (we also got our AC put in this weekend)
I cleaned up our wood pile so we had some wood we had to burn
I kept making the fire too big so I couldn't sit near it
I also got this area all cleaned up (except for the tire)
This is Mason's favorite activity...pulling everything out of the cupboards
Watching Nixon push Mason on the swing is so cute. Look at that smile!
We hope you are enjoying summer. We are looking forward to some company in a couple weeks. Take care

Father's Day 2017

Our 3 year old can ride a two wheeler! He is such a champion. It took him less than 5 minutes to figure it out! He was so proud of himself.
He still likes riding his balance bike more because he is more comfortable on it, but wow. He is awesome!

Lyza made me this masterpiece. What a sweetie
The kids got to play at the splash park
 Aren't they so cute
The kids went to an awesome library activity this week while I was out of town :(
The theme of the summer is "Build a Better World." They each colored their hands
 Cut them out
And they all got put on the wall
 (Nixon is chocolate brown apparently)
There was a construction themed background and props for pictures

And in the evening there was a juggling/magic show. The kids LOVED it! Lyza laughed the whole time and had a permanent smile on her face

This video shows the juggler, but the best part is watching Lyza's face
Nixon is such a perfect boy...playing with a bulldozer in just his underwear. Take notes Mason.
It is refreshing to see them rediscover their toys
Lyza and Nixon both helped make a Father's Day dessert
Mason is not only walking, he is vacuuming. Perfect!
Kim made this cute beach hat for him (with a chin strap that can tie so he can't get it off ;)
Saturday morning I got to assemble my Father's Day gift

Kim went to a garage sale and found this toy for Nixon. That smile lasted at least a few hours
Kim also found this tag-along bike for $25. What a steal!

Now that Mason can walk, he also thinks he can drive. This kid is growing up too fast
He loves to get remotes. Maybe if I stand in this box of toys I will be able to reach...
It is an honor to have Spider Man help unload the dishwasher
Yummy Father's Day breakfast. Totally spoiled!
Lyza surprises us with how strong she can be when she want to. She was giving Nixon horse rides, and he weighs almost as much as she does
After breakfast I got spoiled with a (fully assembled) grill

The complete Spider Man Blu-ray collection
And a new cover for the grill
The kids also made me these, which I think are my favorite gift

Mason thinks the flowers are pretty special (and he thought they might taste good)
My crazies before church

Testing out the new grill. It was awesome!
Here is a video of our little boy giving lots of laughs
Happy Father's Day!
