Kindergarten?!

Lyza got dressed up in this and asked Kim to send a picture to dad at work
Guaranteed there was one too many moments of silence while this was happening
A family in our ward needed some help packing before a move so Kim lent a hand and I played frisbee and played at the park with all of the kids
 Story time
He is fun to check on before bed
We tried out the slip-n-slide last weekend

Mason liked playing with it too

But the water table is more age appropriate for him
While they played I recovered the sand box

A nap on Sunday before church is a good idea for him
On Labor day we did the Mudgie and Millie tour around Coeur d'Alene
It was fun to follow along with the book and visit different sites

Future model? Look at that hair!

You can see how smoky it was

The kids like playing at this park

We watched some sea planes land on the lake, which was pretty cool

And the kids got ice cream after

That day I decided to cut up some of the dead branches from our big pine trees. I wanted to have a fire but figured that would be a little insensitive and probably a bad idea
"Hold it like a baby" ;)
Mason LOVES playing with pots, pans, and big spoons
This is one of the fun messages I got from Kim this last week while at work
Lyza had kindergarten orientation
Her teacher Mr. Hirsch
They have a cute little reading corner in the classroom
Kim had a little party with some of Lyza's friends after (kind of a good-by summer type thing). They planned on doing the slip-n-slide, pool, sprinklers, and trampoline, but it was too smoky, so they mostly played inside
Here it is...the first day of kindergarten photo!
She is so beautiful!
Walking to catch the bus
Kim may or may not have followed the bus to school...
All lined up and waiting for something
Meanwhile Nixon was getting crafty at home

Acorns (I have no idea why Nixon is wearing ear protection. Maybe because Lyza talks so much?)
Going on the bus
He is way too big for a baby swing
This is a much more exciting ride
Mason admiring our apples
Mason has been acting like a puppy recently and it is really cute
He has also taken an interest in the piano
The kids went to a birthday party and liked the dog there
And the hammock
And the pinata!
Luckily no one was hurt
Madness
The kids helped me clean the garage this weekend

We did a bike ride and some exploring

Smile

I asked Nixon to pick up some apples that I pulled off the tree but didn't get time to collect and it was fun watching him with such a "heavy" bag
Take care
