Firsts: Geocaching, Road biking, Day of School 2020/21, Soccer Game, and Shooting Date Night

Here is a star time lapse I shot a little over a week ago
Henry was so excited to do sacrament last week even though we were attending at church instead of the living room
Mason and I trying to sit still for church
Nixon has a little fall on his bike and was shaken up pretty bad. That happened right before we were going to leave for our first time geocaching so he sat in the stroller and navigated.
Monday morning Lyza woke up and decided that she needed to exercise so she was out running, doing jumping jacks, burpees, and pushups
Henry and I found a huge slug

Kim got up bright and early and did a 32 mile bike ride with some friends
 It was a beautiful day
This bridge spanned the whole lake

The boys raked up some pine needles after a big wind storm
Isn't he a happy little dancer
Lyza and her friends had a back to school party and watched Trolls World Tour and had a dance party afterward
The kids had their first day of school this week

And just like that they were off on the bus
Henry was sad to lose two of his buddies
Kim was also pretty emotional

Here is some behind the scenes footage
Kim and Mason made a giant cookie to welcome Lyza and Nixon back with
Mason always cracks us up
Henry is so excited to see them back
Relaxing after the first day of school
When we moved to Idaho we never thought about what creepy crawlies we would be boarding with
We have had lots of dragon flies this week

Mason had his first soccer practice yesterday and his first game following that
Here he is warming up

He has the cutest soccer kick
He was also really distracted by the bugs in the grass
This picture is a fairly good representation of Mason while practicing and playing
What else can I say about the first soccer game? Mason has bursts of energy and speed, followed by him running to the sideline telling me "I am not fast enough" and "my legs hurt" and asking for a treat. His is just barely 4 afterall. He did quite well considering his age and when he was trying he was awfully cute.
Here are some of the highlights:
It was smoky when we woke up and by the time Mason's game was over (11 am) it was getting bad and they had cancelled Nixon's game later that day. This is what the sky looked like around 5 pm.
Kim and I went out shooting with another couple for a date night.
We shot a .22 rifle and pistol, a 45 pistol, and a 12 gauge shotgun. We had lots of fun!
Look at that fire out of the barrel
 What an American date night!
Take care
