Freshening Things Up and a Bird's Nest

Nixon and I took the metal detector out to the beach a couple of weeks ago and he found one of Grandpa Bullock's flies ;)

The 4th grade classes in Ponderosa Elementary School perform Lewis and Clark every year and this was Lyza's year to shine

Henry tripped on the sidewalk and scraped up his face pretty bad. No worries though because he has an "H" bandaid ;)

The sidewalk chalk is out

Lyza had a rendezvous day at school, which is a day where they do old time activities. There was candle making, basket weaving, and horse riding (among other activities)

The only time I get my picture taken is when I grill, so I should grill more often

Nixon used his frozen yogurt gift card

Kim went out to a cabin on a nearby lake with a few friends and was treated to this magnificent sunset

She had lots of fun

We put the truck to good use hauling mulch to top up our beds

Nixon discovered a robin's nest in one of our spruce trees

It even has eggs in it

Henry gave his first talk in primary last week

On Memorial Day we got together with a bunch of other families to play games outside and enjoy some decent weather

Kim took Nixon on an evening run and during one of their breaks Nixon explored the shoreline

While they were gone I put the drone up to see if I could find them and instead found this beautiful view

Nixon also got distracted by the flowers during their run

This week at school the kids had their Panther Prowl, which is a running event for the whole school. They run laps around the baseball diamond and volunteers keep track of how many laps they run during a certain time. Henry joined Mason's class

He and Mason both did really well (Nixon tied for first place in his grade)

Kim and I saw Top Gun Maverick yesterday for a date and it was AWESOME! If you haven't seen it yet, go watch it.
