Bullock Reunion, Baseball, Silverwood, and Finishing July

When it was time to leave Edmonton we got some screamers and hit the road

We drove down to Red Lodge Provincial Campground and the campground was HORRIBLE! To be fair, the campground might have been nice IF the mosquitoes weren't so bad. But don't take my word for it. Check out a Goolgle review left for the same timeframe we were at the campground

Now enough about the unbearable mosquitoes, we at least got to see some family and eat some delicious food the first night

The kids did some crafts with the camp hosts the next morning

To preserve our blood we decided to go to a nearby lake for the second day. That was a good decision and we had lots of fun.

The kids loved playing on the beach and making big mud puddles (more of that later)

We got to visit with Grandma and Grandpa Bullock

And we floated and played in the water

But mostly the kids did this...

They look like caribous wallowing in the mud

Throwback to my mission

But they would go back in the water periodically

Floating with mom

We had our dinner at the beach

Playing some games

The kids just kept playing

Here is a video of the fun

The next day we ended out playing at a slash park with just our family

And we had lunch at the park

Look at all those mosquito bites

We all met up for dinner at another park later in the day

And played some games

The sky was beautiful

Then we got ready for some group pictures

Here we are

Most of the grandkids. Just Sydney is missing.

What a cute family

Favorite grandchild? That would be wrong to say...

And the in-laws

Couples

The next morning after we were all packed up Mason got to open a birthday gift

Playing at a train in Fernie

When we got home Nixon was excited to see the huge raspberries waiting for us

All the bites on Mason's back

The sky was crazy that night

We had to enlist some help to pick raspberries

Kim and I had a date a Chick Fil A when we went suit shopping

We invited some friends to an office sponsored Spokane Indians baseball game

Fun ride

Henry has been asking when we can go back to the ball game

Kim and Jamie Sue were getting in lots of miles on their bikes

Isn't Henry adorable?

Nixon with possibly the best breakfast of all time

The boys got to play with some water balloons

And a huge water balloon on the trampoline

Until they finally popped it

We had a trip to Silverwood this summer

Kim on a raft ride with the kids

Henry's favorite ride (the train)

He also got in some target practice

Dave and Deah came with with us

Our kids all got along together great

The kids have enjoyed 4-H this summer

Kim has been working on her swimming

There was an activity at the carousel

We went camping at our friends' cabin with several families

You can see the creek behind the cabin that the kids love to play in

Here is a view from above

Don't worry, Lyza still found time to read

Mason playing some ladderball

4-wheeler fun

s'mores

Dutch oven brownies and homemade ice cream for dessert

Sitting by the camp fire

The next morning started off quiet

Mason wanted to get right back in the water to play

Henry threw some rocks in the water

Nixon helped

Cooking breakfast

Feeding the kids

There was a treasure hunt for the kids

They were excited to come back with a treasure chest

The morning was abruptly halted when Nixon cut his head open on a 4-wheeler

We packed up and drove home. Got some medical advice from a doctor and a nurse, and purchased some supplies to get the skin held together to heal (butterfly Band-Aids and some glue)

It was a crappy way to finish an otherwise good trip. Nixon has healed up fine.

Take care and remember to properly supervise children on 4-wheelers and wear helmets ;)
