Nixon's Baptism, Grandma and Grandpa Bullock Visit, and an Easter Egg Hunt

What has happened in the last couple of week?

We have done some yard work with warmer weather

We had general conference and ate delicious food

We watched lots of conference

We got outside and climbed trees (can I say "we" climbed trees when Nixon was the only one to climb?)

We gave our neighbor Fran a heart attack when she was released from the hospital

Check out this craft that Henry made with Kim

We went to the park to get some pictures of Nixon to use on his baptismal invitation

While Nixon and I were doing a photoshoot the others were exploring

I really like this one

I of course brought the drone

The water was moving so fast

This is the invitation

Is there a sweeter sight?

We had a really dramatic sunset this evening

The robins sure think it is spring

Grandma and Grandpa Bullock arrived the day before Nixon's baptism and the kids were excited to greet them

We introduced them to Crumbl cookies

The next morning there was lots of excitement. Nixon and I arrived early to get our jump suits on. We were a little too early and Nixon had so much energy he ended out taking a few laps around the church before everyone else arrive.

We took some pictures before the service

What an exciting day for Nixon!

Moments before his baptism

There was a girl from our ward that was also baptized. Lyza and that girl's older sisters sang When I am Baptized and it was BEAUTIFUL!

This is what Nixon got from the primary

After the baptism we rushed Nixon and Mason to each of their soccer games. We then came home for some pizza

Then it started snowing?

Nixon got to open a few gifts

Nixon, Grandpa, Henry, and I went on a bike ride to Mill River and Nixon and Grandpa had an epic rock throwing competition

I think we tuckered Grandpa out because he was really tired for church the next day

When Grandma is here the puzzles come out

For family home evening we made resurrection rolls

Mason made a catapult with Kim

This last Friday morning we woke up to about 4 inches of snow! Didn't I start the blog off talking about spring and robins? Luckily it didn't stick around but the weather can warm up any time now...

Kim made herself a green smoothing (i.e. full of healthy stuff and not very sweet) and Henry ended out stealing it and drinking most of it

Kim took the little boys to see the Easter bunny on Friday

Henry might be smiling but he doesn't trust that bunny

Yesterday we got invited to a friend's house to do an Easter egg hunt. There was yummy food as well

There were lots of kids and even more eggs

The weather held out (it was forecast to rain and snow) and the kids had lots of fun

Here is what the hunt looked like from the air

The kids enjoyed opening up the eggs afterward

And stuffing their mouths with candy

We are excited to celebrate Easter today and hope you have a wonderful day and week!

Finishing Up Spring Break

Mason and I had some fun playing games together last Sunday

Here is a beautiful sunrise

For family home evening on Monday we went to Chuck E Cheese. Kim asked me if I felt like a kid. The answer was a resounding YES!

It was really fun playing Ninja Turtles together

The kids loved winning these balls

Here is a little video of the fun

Henry loves his new yellow blanket

Henry also loved eating this huge lollipop from Chuck E Cheese the next day

Lyza chose this kind

Caption this photo in the comments...

Our neighbor has been improving. Kim and Lyza visited her in the hospital

The kids also got to go to Flying Squirrel this week

After that they got ice cream

Kim took the kids hiking to Tubb's Hill with our backyard neighbors

Crazy group if you ask me

After the hike they got ice cream

While they were going that I was working...and photographing squirrels

After ice cream they went to an indoor play place

Mason got a little sweaty

April Fools' Day was not free of shenanigans at our house

We also had a unique dinner. Here is the menu. Each of the components of a three course meal had a cryptic name and we had to choose the order of those components based on those cryptic names.

We didn't know what we were getting ourselves into

This was Nixon's appetizer: spaghetti noodles and ice cream (I got buttered bread and a meat pasta sauce)

This was Lyza's main course: spaghetti noodles, bread, sprinkles, and ice cream

Mason's entrée: green beans, pasta sauce, sprinkles, and ice cream

The kids all had Jell-O to drink

Here is a little video of some of the April Fools' antics

Take care
