Canada Day and 4th of July

We have had a pretty busy and fun week
This brother and sister are turning into pretty good friends
This guy loves his tummy time
He also learned how to roll over this past week. Here is the first time he did it
On July 1st Kim and Lyza made a Canada day craft

Our little mummy catching some zzzzzz
Nixon enjoying playing with the grass while sitting in the bumbo. He got to pull on the grass and give his mamma's hair a break
Lyza decided that she would make her grandma Keyes happy and liberally applied some sunscreen
Kim already posted this story on Facebook but if you missed it here it is:
A few days ago Lyza got a hold of Daniel's wedding ring and decided to hide it. We could not find it anywhere! When we would ask her where she put it she pointed to where the lock would go in the casing around our bedroom door. We thought there was no way it could even fit in there. After a few days of searching the entire house we were starting to get desperate. Last night we decided to pry off the casing from around our bedroom door.....sure enough there was Daniel's ring shoved down inside with a few other treasures she's been keeping! Two-year-olds are so much fun!
The Post Falls library puts on outdoor activities during the summer and Kim has taken the kids to them a couple of times. At this one they had the kids sit on a big parachute while they read a couple of books
Then the kids got to play with the parachute while music played. They also had the kids dancing and doing different actions to the music
Then they had a bunch of tables covered in paper with different colors of paint and the kids got to paint
It has been nice and hot and we have got the pool out

On July 4th we started off the day with some patriotic waffles (with whipped cream, strawberries, and blueberries)

We painted up Miss Piggy's piggies
Then we went to a parade (it was kind of boring, but oh well)

After the parade we grabbed a quick bite to eat and then headed out to the lake. Lyza had a good nap on the way
An attorney at work invited us out to his cabin north of Spokane
We spent lots of time in the water, which Lyza loved
We went on a boat ride, had an amazing dinner, and then watched fireworks from the dock. We didn't take very many pictures because we were having too much fun!
Sometimes our daughter is a goof (actually all the time!)
Here is a video I took while I was taking a walk with Lyza and Nixon. Lyza didn't want to ride in the stroller and had to walk beside me. This is what she was doing for a lot of the walk
Here is a video of our little boy in his favorite toy - the jump-a-roo
I think that is it for now
Take care

  1. Adorable pictures & videos of your adorable kiddos! Lyza is quite the stinker with hiding Daniel's wedding ring, but a perfectly cute stinker!! :) Nixon is growing up too fast!
