Christmas is soooooo Close!

We are pretty excited for Christmas around here. It just makes us wanna dance
For family home evening a couple of weeks ago we took a boat cruise to the North Pole. The Coeur d'Alene Resort is all lit up and there is a boat cruise to the other side of the lake where Santa reads the names of the children and there are lots of pretty light displays. It was a lot of fun, except it was raining when we went, but we still enjoyed it.

 Listen for our kids' names

Nativity felt board figures? Super fun!
Kim has carried on her family's tradition and made our family Christmas boots (instead of stockings). She did a great job!
 Peek a boo
We had a ward Christmas party last week. It was potluck breakfast foods for dinner. Really yummy and lots of fun
This basket looks like a nice hat...

Santa made an appearance and Nixon wasn't too impressed
Lyza is a little more mature and of course loves to talk, so she had no problem talking to Old Saint Nick

Kim has done an excellent job decorating and bringing the Christmas cheer into our home

Nice boot Nixon. Are you sure it is on the right foot?
The kids looked so adorable for church last week

The kids have really enjoyed reading and listening to this book of the Christmas story. It is narrated by their great grandma and grandpa Bullock. How special!
A group of women from out ward did a cookie exchange. Each baked 7 dozen of a single type of cookie, then they all exchanged so they walked away with 7 different types of cookies. Yummy!
The kids have also been having Christmas fun at the library
Lyza had her birthday this week and it was quite the event. She got to have pancakes with chocolate chips for breakfast
Looks like she got to help with the frosting for her cake
She invited over some of her friends for a birthday party
Her party was dinosaur themed and her cake did not disappoint

 Roaring like a dinosaur
The kids played pin the tooth on the dinosaur

They also played a game where they got to hatch dinosaur eggs (pop balloons with candy inside)
Kim decided that Lyza was old enough to learn how to play spin the bottle, and that is how she decided which presents to open ;)

She had a fun group of friends
 And ferocious!
She got a little help blowing out the candles
This train toy was a favorite
After her party guests left and after we had dinner she got to open some family gifts
She was a pretty happy girl
 She literally jumped for joy

This was Kim's dollhouse when she was little.
Lyza really liked these bath flutes from her grandma and grandpa Keyes

She got another cute princess dress to play in
Since she likes dinosaurs so much, maybe this book will help her do better at cleaning her room: "How Do Dinosaurs Clean Their Rooms?"
We hope you are taking notes Lyza
Lyza has also really liked playing with the games from her grandma and grandpa Bullock. Here she is with her Cutie Bug game
We partied so hard for Lyza's birthday that we had to bring in professional cleaners
 This boy loves hats
We got lots of snow on Lyza's birthday and the day after. That means fun playing outside.
That also means that Kim got a really good workout pulling these hooligans around

Fresh snow means you gotta build a snowman

Playing with their new felt Christmas tree
We wish everyone a Merry Chrismas!
Take care
