Thanksgiving 2015

We got some snow this last week and it hasn't even melted yet. Snow makes holidays seem a little more legit
The kids had some fun decorating gingerbread houses for family home evening

Look at that focus
Kevin, Amanda, and Hailey visited for Thanksgiving. We put Kevin right to work painting in the family room

We did a Thanksgiving pot luck dinner at the church and it didn't disappoint. We all enjoyed the food and it was much easier than preparing an entire Thanksgiving meal by ourselves. The only down side is the lack of left overs.
We woke up the next morning to a moose in the neighbors yard. I know our fence is a little pathetic, but at least it keeps the moose out
Nixon and his little cousin Hailey
On Friday we did some shopping. The kids enjoyed Toys "R" Us

Lyza wanted to look at dinosaurs the whole time. This one was a little too much for them

Lyza got an early birthday present from Kevin and Amanda. She has been playing with these dinosaurs non stop
Friday night we braved the cold and went to the Coeur d'Alene Holiday Light Show at the resort.
There was an awesome fireworks show

Video of the fireworks

Nixon getting some good reading time with Kevin
Hailey is so sweet and well behaved
Here is the accent wall in the family room

It took me a few minutes to remember how to hold a baby. Nixon is definitely not a little baby anymore
Kevin and Amanda also got Nixon this awesome basketball hoop. He figured it out right away
Horsey rides
Amanda and Kim got their craft on
They made these cute Christmas trees for kids to play with
Nixon did pretty well with Hailey
Except when she sneezed on him :)
Cute kids!
We got the tree up on Saturday. It's beginning to look like Christmas around here. The next post should have some tree decorating action!
For some reason Kevin and Kim thought this would be a good idea, and for some reason I went along with it. Sigh...
We had a great time celebrating American Thanksgiving (and Black Friday ;) with our Canadian family. Take care and enjoy the Christmas season.
