How is it already December?

It is fun watching Mason grow up and learn new things and be entertained by different things, like putting pom-poms in an ice mold
Doesn't he look good with Nixon's pants on his head?
Looks like Nixon is teaching Mason to be a super hero
Lyza and Nixon have also been teaching Mason to jump
Lyza had lots of fun one day stacking the Jenga blocks

Watching Nixon play Perfection is pretty fun
When Kevin and Amanda come over there is lots of shopping to do
Kevin and I got right to work on our project. We built a shoe bench for our garage entrance.
Here it is all roughed in
Mary has the cutest little smile
Hailey had lots of fun with this car
I couldn't sleep Thursday morning so I was up at three and back to work on the bench. Mason was also awake at that time and this is what I saw on his camera
Kim went and exercised on Thanksgiving day morning to make us all feel lazy
We exercised out thumbs playing Mario Kart
We did Thanksgiving dinner pot luck at the church and it was really yummy
 Nixon liked this turkey dessert
Mason and Mary had fun playing with each other
I did a custom glue job to glue the bench top on to the frame
I have the top glued on. Notice that the stain is not uniform...I later sanded the whole thing down and had Kevin stain it and got a much better result. That just supports the conclusion that you should leave this type of job to the professionals
Nixon and I were the first ones to go shopping on Black Friday. A quick trip to Ace to buy some saw horses.
Here is the professional re-staining the bench
The kids did a little gift exchange and Mason was a little bit of a monster when it came to opening gifts. We have our work cut out for us for Christmas
Mason had lots of love for Uncle Kevin
The top is re-stained and now we are ready for trim
Mason is so kind to give Hailey a car ride
 All the kids eating
Kim and Amanda got some crafting in

Kevin and I took the kids to the church on Saturday so the girls could do some crafting undisturbed
The adults (and Mary) went out for dinner that night
We walked around the lake and looked at Christmas lights

While the girls dog-piled Kevin, Mason splashed milk in his face
Phase one of the garage entrance/mud room is all done. Now I have to build cubbies and shelves
I pulled this felt board out last Sunday and the kids (especially Mason) thought it was the coolest thing
I think Mason is training for bobsled
Nixon and Mason have had a blast playing with this wagon

Lyza got glasses and when they were getting fitted she kept lifting them up to compare her sight with and without them on. She was amazed and it was really cute
She is adorable
These two can be worst enemies, but they can also be super cute together. "Let me look inside your mouth."
Lyza has been obsessed with drawing dinosaurs
 Nap time in the tipi
Nixon played with this hippo for a while and didn't remember that it sings and dances
Watch as Kim tells him how to turn it on
Nice boot Nixon
Mason saying "ho ho ho" is pretty cute
We got the tree all set up. Here it is with just lights
Mason is blowing kisses to the camera
 Decorating the tree

Mason is really grabby right now, so most of the decorations are on the top half of the tree

 So pretty
This felt tree is always a hit
 Christmas crafts
The Elf on the Shelf is back
The kids have been loving their Kinder advent calendars from Kevin and Amanda
This nativity felt package is lots of fun
I got a visit from three cute elves to help decorate my office

 What a sweet bunch
On Friday night we went to a City of Post Falls Christmas activity at City Hall and the kids made some decorations
We also got to roast marshmallows and make s'mores

The kids also got to fish

 They are so cute together
I will finish off with Nixon demonstrating the proper way to eat an orange
Take care
