Quarantine: Weeks 8 and 9

After taking a little blogging break last week for Mother's Day it is time to get caught up
Quarantine: Week 8
Our hosta had emerged and is thriving
The boys looking at birds outside before church
Nixon was so helpful brushing Henry's hair
Henry and I went outside and had a quick photo shoot

Nixon joined in too

Henry looked so adorable with his bare feet

I caught his reaction when a gust of wind came through
Later that afternoon we went out in the drizzle and fed ducks

We also checked out the dam

While out walking Mason always has to stop to pick dandelions and blow the seeds
A couple shots of the backyard robins

The new wagon has been a hit

The kids have been enjoying playing in the sand and are anxious to be able to swim
One evening Henry and I out some filters on the phone camera and he really liked being a tiger and roaring
This is probably the peak of the tulips. Many of them are now starting to wilt and decline
Lyza got to video chat and play Roblox with her cousing Abigail and had so much fun
One early morning Kim and her running buddies did a long hike/run up a mountain

Their reward was the view
A quiet moment when the boys are all coloring
Look at this wonderful creation of Mason's
Kim has been trying her best to find entertaining activities for the kids

They even made a jump rope
The blossoms on the tree outside of Lyza's window are always so beautiful

Even the little maple tree in our front flower bed has some sort of blossoms
I got a new lens (it is actually used but new to me) and tried it out taking a picture of Lyza and I
 Lyza colored this for me
The kids enjoying Night at the Museum
We had a movie night and I noticed the kids move so much during a movie. I set up the camera and took a timelapse to document how much they move
On Saturday I worked with our neighbor to dig up our fence posts and properly place them in concrete. Mason was also helping.
Nixon got mail from his kindergarten teache
He got this cute card with a note on the back of it
That afternoon Kim got to experience the joy of sanding the fence (she is awesome!)
Sunday morning (Mother's Day) we all got dressed and ready for chuch
Isn't Henry looking so grown up?
 So cute!
The kids were so excited to help their mom open her gift

Kim got a necklace with the birth stone of the kids on it (Lyza doesn't always wear her headbands this way)
My gift for Mother's Day was to get some pictures of Kim and the kids together. That went so smoothly ;)
 I really like this one

Henry was so happy to give Kim a dandelion
 What a beautiful bunch
I also grabbed a few shots of Nixon
 I love his laugh!
Of course I had to share these pictures again

Lyza took this picture for us
And a standard selfie together
The blossoms on the apple tree look beautiful

Kim got to sit out in the sun and read with the big kids
We also did some jump rope

Kim really wanted cookies for her desert on Mother's Day. She made the dough the day before. Each cookie uses a 1/2 cup of dough
We put the dough in the oven
The cookies looked wonderful

But first we had to eat our amazing feast: t-bone steak, fettucini alfredo, and asparagus
Then we got to eat the delcious cookies

Quarantine: Week 9
Mason figured out an easier way to make a basket
He helped Kim plant the garden

Henry is always so helpful with the mowing

The kids have been enjoying exercising with Kim and this particular day they were all eager to show off their new muscles
Nixon did this cool craft with glue, salt, and food coloring

One evening we noticed two ducks in our backyard

Then Kim shared a new magic trick with the kids

After the magic show I let the kids go outside to get closer to the ducks
About 20 minutes after the kids chased the ducks away we noticed they were back

So we let the kids go back out
Henry was so cute with the ducks
The kids got to do a scavanger hunt this week and these are all of the things they found
Chocolate covered strawberries are delicious and messy

Lyza and Nixon both learned how to do the magic trick with the oranges and the cups
Here is Nixon's performance
Lyza sometimes had a hard time not dropping the oranges
She got it this time and her presentation was spot on
Yesterday the kids went to a lemonade stand at a friend's house
I was washing the fence after the neighbor and I finished fixing all of the posts
We had some friends over last night for a hot dog roast and s'mores
The kids were all super cute together

The las couple of weeks have been great. As things start to open up we are hoping for lots more fun.
Take care
