Pie, Temple, and St. Patrick's Day

One of Kim's friends had a birthday last week so that meant girls' night pickleball

We celebrated Pi Day last Sunday at a friend's house and the kids liked this outdoor play house

There was lots of yummy pie but Kim's strawberry lemonade pie was the best!

After that we did a family movie with picnic style snacks

Once the kids realized that St. Patrick's Day was coming up they got right to work designing a trap for the leprechaun

On Tuesday evening we had the opportunity to go to the temple for the first time since the pandemic. It was nice being back!

Here is the final trap

Well, the trap didn't work :(

We all had shamrocks in the morning too

We had green muffins for breakfast (and they were naturally colored with spinach)

Kim and I shared a St. Patrick's Day pie pack for lunch an then later for dessert. Lunch was a corned beef pie and a Shepard's pie. Dessert was an Irish cream and a mint chocolate

Dinner was corned beef, mashed potatoes, and asparagus. All of the kids loved the corned beef

The kids had some lime Jell-O cups for dessert

We watched Darby O'Gill and the Little People as a family

There have been lots of birds and squirrels in the backyard as the weather has been warming up. Here is a quail with a squirrel in the background

I am not sure what these birds are. They look black in the shade but in direct sunlight you can see more colors on them

Quail strutting around

I am not sure why Mason decided he needed so many bowls for his orange peels

The kids played at the new park on Friday after they got their school work done

The construction equipment caught the boys' eyes

We tried playing with the hamster in the tub so she can't escape and it really helped Lyza get comfortable holding her

We also got some up close and personal video of Cupcake

Playing with kinetic sand

Our shamrock bloomed

Henry has really been enjoying this scooter

Nixon and I went for our first run together since Christmas time and since he had so much energy he decided to climb up on this sign

Lyza got to go to a movie party last night and watch Raya and the Last Dragon. She really liked it!

Enjoy the sunshine!
