Family Pictures and the End of Soccer Season

We had family pictures done last Saturday. We took pictures for another family and that family took pictures for us. Luckily the mom in the other family is a photographer so I think we got some decent results.

We got there early and took some photos of the kids.

Kim and Lyza

The kids couldn't resist throwing some rocks in the river

How is Henry so cute?

Maybe she has something to do with it?

What a stud

Mason was really good for pictures

And Lyza is looking so grown up (even if we never could get her dress to look natural at the knees for this pose ;)

Then it was time for some photos of the boys

Don't these two look cute together?

Then we did some photos of the family

This was our funny pose

Then a couple pictures with my beautiful wife

Then we took some pictures with Mason and his friend and they are so cute together!

Then we had to do some of Kim and Henry

He went in for the kiss

This one really captures Henry's intensity when he grabs your face and looks right into it

He is so sweet

And a couple more of the girls

Lyza loved the location and had lots to tell Kim about

I also got some pictures with Henry.
I think he was trying to fix my face. A lost cause.

After all of that we moved up river another 50 feet and found the most amazing light and took more family photos there.

This one might be my favorite

Can you tell Henry was getting tired of photos?

I also really like this one that was Kim's idea

Isn't Nixon handsome?

And we finished it off with a couple more photos of Kim and I together

We lucked out and had the most beautiful (and warm) evening

If you made it this far, here is what we did for the rest of the week:
We had some handsome male unicorns visit

We went back to Corbin Park on Sunday to explore. We had lots of fun throwing rocks into the river

And the kids did lots of climbing

Henry was my hiking buddy and I was loving it

The kids liked this little cave area

There were really pretty rock formations along the river

The kids had so much fun climbing

Kim raked LOTS of pine needles this week

Remember those annoying emails you received about our kids doing a fundraiser? Well, this hat and selfie light (and a usb extender) are the little prizes the kids got for sharing that fundraiser with you.

Can you tell Mason loves Halloween crafts?

Our neighbor pulled our tree stump out with his winch

Henry decided it was time to potty train and just started using the potty all by himself. He has done great this week!

It is so nice when they craft together

This is Mason sleeping after a play date

Look at Henry's spooky room

Kim and I went out on a date Friday night. We went to an extreme grilled cheese restaurant. Kim's sandwich had pepper jack cheese, grilled chicken, bacon, diced tomato, green onion, and avacado-ranch.

I got a poutine sandwich that had white cheddar, braised beef short rib, deep fried cheese curds, beer-battered french fries, and roasted shallot & shiitake mushroom gravy. They were both DELCIOUS!

Nixon had he final soccer game of the season and it was a good one to keep him humble. The other team was really good and they were very evenly matched. They finished 1-1. Nixon did well and got lots of time with the ball.

These two are cute talking together on the field

Here is a little video of Kim scaring Lyza

Take care and have a great week!
