Last Sunday we celebrated Canadian Thanksgiving with some friends. Our offering was stuffing and sweet potatoes.
I had Columbus Day off so Kim and Henry and I went out for breakfast together
Then in the afternoon Kim took me on a bike ride (I am pretty sure she was trying to kill me with all of the hills)
We rode all the way around Hayden Lake (24 miles), which was basically steep uphill, followed by steep downhill, over and over again. My legs were killing me.
At least I had good company
Henry was really excited to buy a sword (windshield wiper)
Lyza had her last track meet of the year
She has a great looking stride
A well deserved ribbon
Batman had Spider-Man over for a play date
Kim went crazy one day and decided to process almost 200 pounds of apples. She couldn't have done it without her big helpers.
Beautiful sight
Even more beautiful sight (apple butter, apple sauce, and apple sauce with cinnamon)
Henry excited for some candy corn
Nixon also had his final race of the year and was lucky enough to have a little bit of rain
Mason went over to our neighbors' house to do some coloring. He always colors and draws them pictures so they asked him to come over and spend some time there.
I made another star trail photo this week
Henry loves this house and always stops and looks at it after going to the bus
Henry cooked a meal for him and his sloth
Mason got to have a play date with his friend
Yesterday morning was church cleaning
So we had to get some donuts
Henry loved his chocolate donut
We have been talking about removing the large arborvitae in our front bed and decided that yesterday would be the day
The boys loved helping
It makes a big difference from the outside and even more inside (more light)
Mason had his last soccer game of the season and he worked hard
Oh Canada
He had some serious moments
And some not-so-serious moments
But he was always ready for a big kick, even when the ball was nowhere near him
But he also got some ball time
They actually shook ands after the game, which was nice (most games they didn't)
Nixon had a game and did great. He even got the first goal of the game.
Nixon was a star, even if he was at times amazed at what was happening on the field
Henry started off the game fairly upset but warmed up and had some fun before the end of the game
Here is Nixon with a couple of his friends
Last night we did family pictures. The weather and location was AMAZING!
Here is a sneak peak
We hope you have a wonderful week. Take care!
Lots of fun going on. Nice that you could celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving!
