Nixon got a sewing lesson this week
Mason has been learning how to read with his Bob books
I filled up the truck for the first time (and it wasn't even empty)...
Grandma and Grandpa Bullock arrived this week and the kids put them right to work
Mason has been so excited to give Grandpa his birthday gift
A custom birthday hat
Mason truly is a mad hatter
We went to Texas Roadhouse for Craig's birthday
Even though it was actually his birthday I ended up riding the birthday saddle
We still sang for him
Nixon had his second basketball game on Saturday and he did very well
Nixon got lots of time with the ball
He got lots of shots
I think he scored 4 baskets in a row
He got lots of breakaways (notice all the yellow shirts behind him)
He also had lots of opportunity to practice his defense
I was a proud coach/dad
This picture drives me a little nuts. At this age they are not supposed to double team on defense. Well, the other coaches never said anything to their kids and often they were triple or quadruple teaming the kids with the ball
After the game we did team pictures
I also got a picture of Nixon
Grandma and Grandpa played lots of Mouse Trap yesterday with the little boys
Kim and I took Nixon skiing yesterday afternoon/evening and it was a beautiful day. We got there early enough to ride a chair lift up to the very top of the mountain (for the first time). The view from the top was spectactular.
The trees covered in snow/frost were really cool
It was also right before sunset so the light was beautiful
Here's a shot when the sun was setting
Here is a video of our ride from the very top (It is a little long so if you get bored, make sure to skip forward to the 8:50 mark to see Nixon skiing through the forest)
Lyza and Grandpa enjoying some screen time together
Take care
So fun that Grandma & Grandpa Bullock could visit!!
