After our Edmonton and area family left we had Grandma and Grandpa Bullock visit to help with baseboards. When they arrived we put Grandpa and Nixon to work exploring the river in kayaks
While that was happening Grandma played some games with the other kids
We like having Grandma visit
Sunday afternoon we returned the kayaks that I had brought home from girls camp and visited with their owners. We also checked out their garden
I also took some drone photos from their property
Mason got to open a birthday card and gift from his grandparents
Lyza and Kim practiced a duet they would play in sacrament meeting the next week. They had to squeeze in some practice before Lyza left for FSY
Nixon got into a puzzle and there were lots of games played
We put Grandpa to work installing baseboards
Henry didn't mind the furniture being moved around
Grandma helped Nixon with his puzzle
Welcome to Costco
We all went out for froyo together
Lyza left for FSY in Moscow on Monday and we sent her this picture to let her know that we were not having any fun without her
Here are the girls in her company with their camp leader. They look like they are having much more fun than we were.
Henry and Mason did some more swim lessons, which meant that they got to play on the water slide afterward
Henry playing a game with Grandma
Kim took her parents huckleberry picking
Caught purple handed
Check out that haul
Hiking down the mountain
They worked up an appetite and had to refuel with some Costco pizza
That evening Kim's parents took Kim and I out for dinner as birthday gifts for us
Mason and Nixon have made some money selling our fresh raspberries
On the last evening with Grandma and Grandpa we played some ladder ball
What about Lyza? She had a great time at FSY! Here she is with the girls from her company and her leader.
And here is her entire company
I got up really early on Saturday morning to drive to Moscow to pick up Lyza from FSY. I stopped by our old house on my way into town
It still looks the same as it did 13 years ago
We were happy to have Lyza back!
We had the annual Post Falls Parade that day
That evening we had a dress rehearsal for Kim and Lyza's piano duet
They performed the next Sunday and it was beautiful
I made a recording of the dress rehearsal for you to enjoy
They next day Lyza got braces!
Let's just say the smile is not because of how her teeth felt
Mason and Henry got soccer balls and jerseys from their soccer camp
Kim had to work one day that week and Mason went to Silverwood with friends so Henry got a new Lego car to work on for the day
Mason has also been busy at work with a large set of his own
I love seeing this little guy reading
Henry was excited to finish his car the next day
Mason showing off part of the set he has been working on
This is Henry's finished car
Kim and I went out for a date night and shared entrees with each other
I am not sure what is going on here except some cuteness
The three of us got up early on a Saturday and did a hike (Liberty Lake) together. It was a short 8.9 miles
At times I felt like a third wheel ;)
This abandoned car was really cool
Me and my bestie
We got some pretty views
Nixon loved climbing on the fallen trees
This was the "cabin" at the top
After that we did some quick blueberry picking as a family on the way out to the Bunts' cabin
We spent the rest of the afternoon at the Bunts' cabin. Here is Nixon messing around with the axe throwing axes
We had dinner together
And we did some tubing
Henry and Faye
Lyza got to try driving the boat
As did I
Our sunset cruise was nice and relaxing
That's it for now. Take care!
