Happy Mother's Day and Math is Cool

 Our walk to church a couple of weeks ago was nice and sunny and warm

I installed some shades for our patio

Nixon had his final track meet and even advanced to districts in hurdles (although he wasn't able to go because he had a multi night field trip)

We had a spaghetti dinner and auction fundraiser for youth camps and Henry loved the cotton candy he bought

So did Mason

Nixon had a fierce soccer game last week

Mason's football game went well

He forces those quarterbacks to have to throw high

Henry's soccer game went well and he was an awesome goalie

Kim had a couple of friends over and they enjoyed the fire

For Mother's Day we made Kim a delicious breakfast with chocolate croissants from Trader Joe's

Then we showered her with gifts

Including flowers that never go bad

The poem Nixon wrote for her was a tearjerker

Kim gets to pick out new patio furniture

Nixon was looking good for church

We had a nice walk to church

After Kim got photos with each of the kids individually

We sure love Kim and all she does as a wonderful mother!

And a family photo for good measure

Salmon dinner was delicious

And we also played games as a family

Nixon had Monday and Tuesday off of school so on Monday he and Kim did some shopping together. He got these for his room

And he got lunch at Olive Garden

There were lots of garage sales in the neighborhood this weekend and Mason scored a bunch of cheap Lego

Mason got to go to Moses Lake on Saturday for a regional Math is Cool competition

Kim went to the temple while the competition was happening

While they were in Moses Lake Nixon had his last soccer game of the season. Henry also had his last game of the season

It has been a little too cold and rainy for our liking but the birds have been enjoying bathing in the water on our firepit cover

Nixon wore one of my ties to church today and he looked like a million bucks
