Henry's Baptism

 On September 19, 2026, Henry got baptized. We got to the building early to get dressed, then we took some pictures together.

This was a stake baptism so there was a girl from another ward that was also getting baptized that day

Someone in attendance took some unsanctioned pictures during the ordinances. I am glad that person did because it is sweet to have these to treasure. Henry was so happy after he was baptized and he told me that he felt so warm and happy.

That is one happy boy!

We are glad that Grandma and Grandpa Bullock were there for Henry's special day.

After that Henry had a soccer game and played goalie for some of it. Nixon had to miss his soccer game and Mason had a football game after Henry's soccer game.

Then it was time for a few gifts. He was surprised to get a new tie.

And of course he got his own set of scriptures

After that we had a delicious meal outside in the backyard

We played some games and then sat around the fire and listened to Nixon play guitar

And then we had s'mores

What a mess

If you watched the video above, you know that Nixon and I did some dancing

Kim left us mid-week the following week for a girls trip to Utah to hike for her 40th birthday. Maybe the next post will be about that trip?

For Nixon's young men's activity that week they had a challenge to build a fire with a single match that could burn a string about the fire. They then related the activity to the restoration of the priesthood. It was a good activity.

Later that week Henry got a couple more gifts from friends that could not attend his baptism

Lyza and I had a driving lesson one day that week where we learned how to drive to Cafe Rio and while we were there we shared some loaded nachos ;)

I bounced around between pictures for all three and games for all three, which was crazy. I didn't get much game footage but they all did well. Nixon in the goal is a new adventure and he is improving each week

That night for dinner we decided that we needed to send Kim a silly picture so she wouldn't forget about us :)

That night we read Cat in the Hat together and then watched the animated cartoon version. The next morning when I woke up I "caught" Henry reading the Cat in the Hat Comes Back. It made me so happy.
