HAPPY BIRTHDAY LYZA!

We had a great time on Lyza's birthday last week.
She has been pretty excited for it. The day before she helped her mom make some rice krispies for the base of her cake. She was dancing and playing the horn
Lyza woke up to this beautiful cake
She spent a lot of time trying to convince us that she was going to eat it for breakfast
In the afternoon we drove into Spokane to Mobius Children's Museum
It is inside the mall downtown. The mall had a huge Christmas tree

We were very ready to have fun!
The use of "museum" in the name of this place is a little deceiving. It is really a large play place with all kinds of different activities and lots of toys
Nixon had lots of fun, he really enjoys exploring new places
This was a lot of fun. This table is full of uncooked rice, some of which is dyed different colors
 Canoe!

Nixon learning to mow the lawn
There was a huge shopping area with shopping carts and lots of food. Lyza took multiple trips to the grocery store and fully stocked her fridge

There was an electronic backhoe and gravel to dig in

This area had rubber chips burying dinosaur fossils
Nixon liked this hollowed-out log but was too afraid to crawl through it. Look at him waving at the camera
One of the hit areas was the veterinary clinic. Lyza had a blast making all of the animals feel better

There was a really fun water table with flowing water and plastic pieces to divert and change the water
There were some different creepy crawlies to play with. Here is Lyza with a stick bug on her arm
A real snake, what a brave little girl
 What beautiful ladies!
After the museum we had a pizza party. After that it was time for presents
 Wooden blocks

Not only does this girl like princesses, she likes dinosaurs
She liked this dinosaur so much that she wanted to take it to bed. Bye-bye teddy bears

Lyza got a bunch of Polly Pockets
When we refinished this table a few months ago it was so she could have a place to play with these Polly Pockets
Lyza also got a doctor's set and has a blast keeping us all in good health
After presents she got to eat the cake

She had no problems blowing out the candles. Good thing I don't have to worry about boyfriends this year ;)
Lyza had a really fun time on her birthday. We love our little girl and feel very blessed to have her. Take Care

Christmas is so close I can taste it (Literally...I have been eating too many Christmas sweets!)

We have been enjoying lots of Christmas activities. Christmas movies, Christmas bingo, Christmas cookies, Christmas parties...

I am not sure why but our kids love wearing silly hats

This is a little taste of what a conversation with Lyza can be like
Our kids get along together pretty well. Sometimes, not so much
Here is Nixon all ready for church this morning
His mother played a beautiful piano solo in church today and we are really proud of her
Our little girl is turning 3 this week and it is really hard to believe
That's all for now. Take care

The obsessed overload revolts...

I don't like naming blog posts, so I used this site to name this week's post: http://watchout4snakes.com/wo4snakes/Random/RandomSentence
Kim has been doing a daily Christmas gift/activity for Lyza. They are just simple gifts like Christmas books we already have and simple Christmas activities. She is having lots of fun

Bubble wrap is always a hit
 This girl really loves books
This boy loves to play. He thought he was so funny with that toy in his mouth
One day while Kim was washing dishes Lyza pulled a chair up to stand on and face her mother and she said "do you want to talk together?" She is growing up so quickly!
Lyza had her last swimming lesson this week. It was bittersweet because she fell asleep on the way to the lesson so she wasn't in the best mood for that lesson. But overall she really liked her swimming lessons

One day Lyza's Christmas activity was to help her mama make a Christmas pillow case for Lyza's room
I guess she liked the pillow case so much that she was afraid to get her head all over it?
Yesterday we did a couple of fun Christmas activities. First we went to Cabela's to meet with Santa. While I was waiting in line with Nixon Lyza made tree decotations
The kids enjoyed "driving" the ATVs

They also liked the fish tank

Lyza found a fishing rod that would be perfect for her first fishing trip with Grandpa Bullock
All of the "big stuffed animals" were very interesting

There were mixed reactions to Santa (looking at Santa's backdrop it is obvious that we are in Northern Idaho). Anytime someone, including the real Santa Claus, asks Lyza what she wants for Christmas she always replies "a present." When asked what kind of present, she then responds " a red present." To cute! (spelled incorrectly because the internet generation don't care about grammar and stuff) #yolo #lol #mykidsarethecutest #canneverhaveenoughhashtagsaroundhere
After that we went on a carriage ride around downtown Coeur d'Alene.
By the time we got in the carriage it was getting dark and all of the Christmas lights were on. It was really pretty.

This picture doesn't quite do it justice, but the resort was all lit up really nice

 Here are some videos
Here is a video of how Nixon uses Lyza's turtle as a walker
Nixon has learned how to clap
He also really likes to smack his lips
He has a really funny sister that keeps him entertained and laughing all the time
That's it for now. We are getting pretty excited for Christmas!
Take care
