These Are A Few of Her Favorite Things...

I love watching Lyza and seeing how much she changes every day. It seems like every week she enjoys doing new things. Here are a few of her favorite things from the past week:

She LOVES playing with Daddy which is nothing new but she does look super cute in her new monkey pajamas. On the top of them it reads: "Go Bananas!"

 She is starting to enjoy baths more and looks pretty fun with her post bath hair.

For some reason lately when we hold Lyza she insists on leaning to the side as far as possible. Silly girl.

 Lyza's newest fashion statement is a bib. She wears it pretty much all day because she has had some serious drool happening. Not everyone can look so cute with drool hanging off of their face :)

Lyza loves to laugh and thinks it is so funny when we tickle her lips.

 Lyza was SO excited for church this week that she had TWO blowouts. I'm glad I packed extra clothes!

 Lyza loves to stand on our laps and make funny faces.

 I don't know how this girl breathes but she somehow manages while she face plants into our shirts while she is sleeping.

  

One of Lyza's other favorite things is when we bounce her.

 Today her favorite thing to do while hanging out is sucking on her right fist while resting her left hand on her knee. Every time I would look at her she was doing this.

 

This is one of MY favorite things....we made them at a Relief Society activity last week. It was delicious and I may have to make them on my own!

Lyza's New Pad

After receiving a damaged crib from Walmart a couple of weeks ago we finally got a replacement this past week and were able to set it up. Daniel and I had fun setting up Lyza's room and getting a few things on the walls.

I inherited this mirror back in my single days and wanted to hang on to it for when I had a little girl. It's pretty big and Daniel was getting sick of moving it around and tried to get me to give it up on more than one occasion. When Lyza arrived I was thrilled to be able to convert this monstrosity (Daniel's description not mine) into a mirror fit for a princess! We're both happy with how it turned out.

 This was Lyza's first night in the crib and we discovered it was a good thing we got mesh crib bumpers because this is how she likes to sleep. She is a funny girl... I will lay her down on the other side of the crib and she will wiggle her way all the way over to the opposite side and the second her cheek touches the side she will go to sleep.

Just Playin

We had a nice relaxing weekend at home together. Daniel finished his big paper on Friday and was able to take a little break from being at school and we had nothing else going on. It was nice for us to all be home together and have some fun!

On Saturday we picked up this learning gym that we found on craigslist. I think it is safe to say that it will be well used by Lyza. Here is a video of her playing with it for the first time. She loved it!

Daniel's Birthday and a Photo Shoot

We enjoyed celebrating Daniel's Birthday last weekend. On Sunday we got together with some friends to "watch" the superbowl. I think Daniel and I managed to both see the half time show and the rest of the time we enjoyed visiting with friends. I took Daniel's favorite cake, skor trifle, and everyone sang to him. The night of his birthday we made avocado chicken pizza and tropical chicken pizza. They were both delicious! After dinner we had fun visiting with family on the phone and opening presents.

 

This is Lyza and I all ready to go to a Piano Bash last Saturday. It was called Flying Fingers. It consisted of 6 grand pianos and 12 pianists. Lyza was a happy girl through the entire performance.

Yesterday Lyza and I did a little photo shoot. We had a lot of fun! I thought I would share some of my favorites. It was a little hard to narrow it down so their are quite a few. She is just too cute!

 Remember when she use to be as small as this bear? Our little girl is growing up too fast!

Lyza is such a good baby and has been lots of fun lately. We are getting more and more laughs from her! It is so much fun watching her grow and reaching new milestones.
