Easter Weekend

We had a great Easter weekend. My parents came down for the weekend to spend some time with us. We had a lot of fun visiting, shopping, playing with Lyza and we even got to enjoy some turkey despite the fact that our oven broke the night before we were going to cook it. I was very happy to find out that the church had a portable electric oven we could use. It was just too bad I couldn't finish cooking my pies in it!
So far I think Lyza is a fan of Easter. Here she is Easter morning (bed head and all) so excited for her Easter basket!
We had to hold her hands down to get a picture because all she wanted to do was eat her Easter bib from Grandma.

All ready for church with Grandma and Grandpa.

Easter Sunday was a beautiful day and we all enjoyed a nice walk down in the Arboretum.

This goose even came all the way from Canada to spend Easter with us....how nice :)
Having fun with her new bunny.
We decided that it was time to pull out the exersaucer from Wes and Joanne. Lyza thought that it was pretty fun.

She had a hard time deciding which part of it she should eat first and decided that the flowers would be the best option.....if only she could open her mouth just a little more!
Lyza is also still fascinated with her feet and is pleased with the discovery that this is yet another thing that she can put into her mouth.
Whenever I am changing Lyza on her change table she is constantly trying to roll over and look at what is behind her head. So the other night I flipped her over on her tummy to figure out what she was so interested in and it turns out she just wanted a better look at Pooh.
She had so much fun checking out the Pooh and Tigger on her wipes container.
Have I mentioned that this girl likes to put everything in her mouth? Well she does! And it is so much more convenient now that she can hold onto her toys. These keys have been her favorite toy to play with.
Here is Daniel at school after his oral argument. Lyza and I went to cheer him on and he did a great job! His professor was really digging for some kind of feedback to give him and had to settle on telling him to wear a light colored shirt next time. Way to go Daniel!
I had some time this week to do a craft and made this wreath for our front door. Hopefully it will make people feel welcome!
I made this scarf at a Relief Society class last week. It was so easy to make and I am excited to make another one! I love scarves!

Lyza has been testing out her volume lately :) and when she isn't yelling she reverts to some dialect of African tongue clicking.
