The Beginning of our 3 month Vacation

We have been in Coeur d'Alene for a week now and are so far loving this city! We feel like we have been on vacation but this is actually our home!

Here are a couple of pictures of us packing up all of our stuff. Lyza was supervising!

This was our moving truck with our "bare essentials".....we are not very light packers! We were missing the help of our families that we have had every other time we moved but still managed to fill the truck on our own.
When we arrived in Coeur d'Alene the Elder's Quorum President and the full-time missionaries we waiting for us and helped us unload the truck. This is our living room and kitchen full of stuff. Maybe we'll post some pictures of our apartment after we get a little more settled.

This was taken just outside of our place in the common garden area. Lyza has been loving the good weather. Our first couple of days in Coeur d'Alene it was 30 degrees! This picture was taken on Mother's Day after church. We had a great day together and Lyza even got me a beautiful necklace that I am wearing in this picture. I am lucky to have such a wonderful daughter!
We went for a walk to the river.

Lyza loves the taste of her shoes!
This is inside of a toy store in downtown Coeur d'Alene. The downtown area has lots of little stores and shops that are fun to check out.
 Our little prodigy!
This is just outside of the resort.
Coeur d'Alene lake on a beautiful day.

Lyza turned 5 months this week!
This is the start of a hike we did at Tubbs Hill. It starts at the city park area of lake Coeur d'Alene and you hike around the hill following the water. We made it a little harder than it needed to be and found a trail that went over top of the hill instead of around it following the water.
Lyza inherited her mom's hiking genes and loved the hike and being outdoors.

 Yummy flowers?
 Maybe not....
We spent a day in Spokane and went to Spokane Falls. There is an island in the river that is called Canada Island.

This is a huge wagon that is also a slide and has monkey bars in the bottom.

Lyza has been loving sticking out her tongue lately.
We got a new backpack carrier and are getting excited to do some camping and hiking.
Lyza gives good head massages...really she just pulls hair, but that is close enough.

Sunday picnic at a nearby park.

That pretty much sums up our week. We are looking forward to the rest of our summer here and are excited for Daniel to start his internship tomorrow!
