Newest Happenings

This little boy likes to smile and laugh
All that laughing tires him out
Bath time
Enjoying one of the local parks

What a way to sleep
Another trip to another park, Lyza made quick friends with this dog

There is nothing like an open field to keep her happy
This guy loves having baths. He kicks his feet so much that the whole room is wet by the end
Clean happy boy
We went to McEuan Park in downtown CDA and Lyza had a blast. They have a huge playground with astroturf

There is also a really fun splash park

Here we are at another park by the river in Post Falls
We got a sprinkler for the back yard. It has a stream that shoots straight up the middle and balls can float on it

Sidewalk chalk is always a hit
The three amigos
Nixon LOVES sucking on his feet
He also likes his tummy time
He is also really eager to crawl
What a hat!
Last weekend the circus was in town so I got to take Lyza on a daddy-daughter date
We had lots of fun
She loved all of the acts with animals

I got pretty spoiled on Father's Day. At church I got to speak (lucky me). I got this as a gift (not for speaking, but for being a father)
At home I really got spoiled. I had an amazing breakfast. Kim and the kids made me the most adorable card

Here are a couple of the photos from the photoshoot for the card

I have a great family!
One of the gifts that I am really excited about is Nixon and I got matching ties
Kim made an amazing Father's Day meal. Fresh baked garlic cheese buns, BBQ ribs, tortelini pasta salad, and corn on the cob
And a homemade ice cream cake!
For family home evening this week Lyza and I planted some tomato plants
We can't get over how much he loves sleeping in this jump-a-roo
Lyza has been really hungry this past week. One day for lunch she ate a whole can of alphagetti
We got Lyza a new big girl bed this week. She was so excited to set it up

We were worried about how she would sleep outside of a crib, but she has done pretty well
Nixon got upgraded from the pack-n-play to the crib. It makes him look so little
We took Lyza to fly a kite earlier this week. Like I said earlier, open fields...
She got some new play dough tools that are really fun

Kim has been taking the kids on some nice long walks. Nixon gets to just sleep in the stroller
We can't get enough of this guy's pretty blue eyes
He is growing up too fast
Yesterday we went to Riverfront Park in Spokane
Lyza and I got to ride the carrousel
She was really scared before it started but once it got going she had a blast. She was shouting giddie up, whee, and making horsie sounds
There is also a huge wagon slide
 My two girls
The park is beside the river and has bridges across to see the falls
We had a little picnic dinner together
That's all for now. Hope everyone is doing well. Take care
