Nixon's Blessing and We Love Visitors

I can't believe it has only been 2 weeks since my last post. A lot has happened since then. This is going to be an extremely long post so proceed at your own risk
We got a double stroller so Kim can take the kids out for walks. It is really convenient
We went for a walk along the river in Post Falls
Of course Lyza could have thrown rocks in the water for hours
 Happy 3-month old boy
We love to see Lyza playing with her little brother
 Fee-fi-fo-fum!
I smell the blood of an Englishman,
Be he alive, or be he dead,
I'll grind his bones to make my bread
We had some visitors!
That is a HUGE box of Nerds!
Grandma took Kim and the kids out for lunch for one of their shopping-marathon days (yes there was more than one shopping day)
What a pancake! She had some help finishing it :)
Nixon happy to see his Grandma Bullock
Lyza loved playing at the park with Grandma

 Hide-and-seek
 Lyza's first underduck
Nixon happy as usual
By this point some of you may be wondering "Where is Grandpa Bullock?" Good question. He came too, but was lured in to the beautiful north Idaho wilderness trying to catch fish. He was not very successful. The following image represents his first couple days of the trip
Then the Keyes clan arrived and the real party started. We had a full house (not like the loveable 90's sitcom)
Auntie Rachel and Hannah came with my parents (they were the best house guests anyone could ask for!)
 Lyza and her Grandpa Keyes
Here is Granda Keyes getting Nixon to laugh
Kisses from Grandma Keyes

 Lyza enjoyed opening some gifts
What is better than a book read by Auntie Hannah?
 Chillin' with Grandma
Peter gave me a graduation card that played "Who Let the Dogs Out" and Lyza could not put it down
Night time story with Auntie Rachel
Nixon excited to have so many visitors
Cuddles with Grandma Bullock
On Saturday we all stopped by my office before we went to the beach. Lyza made herself right at home
After the office tour we went to Coeur d'Alene City Park for a picnic and afternoon in the beautiful weather
We played some frisbee, bocce ball, and there is a large playground that Lyza played in
Here is Grandpa Bullock with his favorite grandson!
Lyza was infatuated with some ducks strolling by
They didn't feel the same way about her
 Chasing the ducks
Nixon enjoying some sleep in his new stroller
Lyza loved spending time with her aunts
We went down to the beach and Lyza played with the sand and water
Her hair kept getting in her face, so she would push it out of the way with her sandy hands
Grandma Bullock got a special foot treatment
Walking on the beach with grandpa
Walking along the lake

Lyza was trying her hardest to reach down off the dock and put her hand in the water. Grandpa offered to help
Later in the day we went for a walk downtown and checked out some of the shops. The toy store was a hit

Downtown CDA is scattered with these moose statues
Of course Lyza had to ride it
Lyza was pretty tired from missing her nap so we got her to take a short nap in the stroller while we were shopping
I think my Mom enjoyed the year round Christmas store
Nixon did get some good one-on-one time with grandpa Bullock, but not much of it made it to the camera
Saturday was a long, busy, and fun day. Sunday was much more relaxing. Nixon was blessed and it was nice to have some family with us for that special day
Here he is before church
Here we all are after church
 Our little family

 Me and my boy
 Fathers
 Mothers

 Happy mamma
 Our big boy

 Our little man

It was nice to have Hannah play piano with Lyza

We really enjoyed having family visit! Thanks again to Rachel and Hannah for being so helpful. We had a great weekend with everyone.
I'll fill you in on what has happened since Nixon's blessing weekend, but you'll have to wait until next week.
Take Care

  1. Loved your post! Nixon looked perfectly handsome on his Blessing Day & please tell Lyza she looked prettier than a princess in her dress!
Sending all our love, we wish we could have come, too!!
