Canada Day and Independence Day

Here is Lyza with a smile on her face because she found a creepy-crawly
On July 1st our Ward hosted a community Independence Day event (but really they were celebrating Canada Day ;)
There was a flag ceremony performed by veterans, a breakfast, and lots of games and events for kids
Yummy breakfast

There was a big bouncy slide
Nixon was afraid to go by himself so Lyza was an awesome big sister and helped him
There was also a foam pit that the kids liked

The kids got to decorate their bikes

Mason had lots of fun exploring
 Mason loves strawberries
The kids found a snail in the backyard and Kim helped them make it a little habitat

Here is a video of the snail doing an impersonation of my kids cleaning their room
I love cooking on my new grill
Mason holding his serving spoon while sleeping
Lyza is such a pretty girl
Me and Mason last week at church roaming the halls
Lyza got to be a part of singing time
One night when we went to bed we found Nixon sleeping in the hallway outside of his room
When was the last time you had Batman clean your table?
Kim taught the kids about static electricity and they were amazed

 Can she get out?
We bought a bike rack for our van...bring on the adventures
Lyza enjoyed popping the bubble wrap

On the 3rd I slept in the tent in the back yard with the kids
We had lots of fun and actually made it through the whole night. Big improvement from last year
On the morning of the 4th Kim and the big kids picked some raspberries
There were swans there that the kids liked to chase
 Cute berry picker
Kim and I made this craft from pallet wood
The kids and I were so tired from a "good sleep" in the tent the night before that we had a warm afternoon nap on the 4th
We spent some time at the beach together and had a great time
Then we played in the back yard
We let the kids stay up extra late and we went back to the beach to watch some fireworks

That's all for now. Take care
