***WARNING, this is a long post full of happy people. If that isn't what you are looking for, move along and read the latest "fake" news about Donald Trump***
I have tried to keep myself busy while Kim and the kids have been gone. One project I tackled was painting my office. It is hard to see from the picture, but the previous wall color had too much green in it, so I went to work and painted it
I painted these two walls last Saturday
Then this week I painted this wall (the top is done in this picture, which really shows the difference between the green on the bottom and the new more neutral color
All done. Much better
Just like at home, Mason loves to get into everything
Last week I shared my "Bad Dad" video that I made for the kids. Here is their reaction watching that video
A pirate with a parascope!
Swimming lessons have been going well, although you can tell by the clothes that Mason is wearing that it is a little chilly
There was a Welling Ward campout/activity that the kids had lots of fun at (and I heard the meal was amazing)
Look at this little daredevil
Yummy
The kids loved this little tractor ride
Swinging with mama
This video is so cute
The kids helped Grandma weed the flowers
So handsome! Wheat is such a pretty backdrop
Who taught her to pose like that? Kim?
I love seeing these kids explore the "farm"
They went to Indian Battle Park and saw a snake
There was also lots of exploring
Pretty picture Kim
Pretty bridge
Grandma is the best hiking buddy
Lyza doing what she loves best, jumping from rock to rock
What a cute boy
Tender
The kids love dogs
He looks so much more grown up than he did last week
Kim has been forced to play games with her parents...how embarrassing
Tuckered out
Another project I took on was sprucing up our exterior by building some shutters for this window
I got some cheapo wood (fir fence pickets) and cut them down and sanded them really well
Then I stained the wood
Then I got them all assembled
Then I attached them to the house. Success!
Meanwhile the kids were being spoiled by Grandma
I love getting these little status updates during the day!
Our little Lyza got her first haircut!
They put it in a french braid, which is cute, but doesn't do the best at showing the final result
So here you go. Isn't she cute?
The sandbox is always a favorite
The kids did a scavenger hunt
This is the best part!
Then they made corn dogs. Apparently Mason ate one and a half!
The kids have spent lots of time with their Great Grandma and Grandpa
Fun on the trampoline
And doing puzzles with Grandma
Best...lunch...ever!
Mason is learning how to water the lawn
And Nixon is learning how to water the swimming pool
And how to water his sister
Cool bike man
I will always love the prairie backdrop with the kids on the trampoline
Lyza would constantly disappear and Kim would find her over talking with Great Grandma
Grandpa took the kids fishing. They loved putting worms on the hook
They didn't catch anything, but they still had fun
Mason never got to use the net for its intended use
So cute!
Adorable
What a happy bunch
Awwww
The slurpees after may have been the highlight of the night
Mason has been loving the stairs
The kids had a movie party with Grandma
They have dinosaurs in Welling too?
Fun game
Not as fun as getting Grandma wet!
Even super heroes need help sometimes
Nixon got to help Grandpa mow the lawn and do lots of other work
He even helped Grandpa finish his lunch
Both of the kids have had lots of fun swimming
I can't believe this is Lyza
And this is pretty good for Nixon
What a beautiful bunch
Night time stories with Grandpa
This little boy has had lots of fun with his Grandpa, especially now that his teeth aren't bothering him
I have missed my family, but feel blessed to have technology to keep me close
Mason has even learned to go down
They love reading with Grandma
The garden hasn't taken a vacation...it keeps on working
What a sweet picture
They are lucky to spend time with their Great Grandparents
What and adorable couple!
Bubbles are so magical
I get to see these guys again in two days. I can't wait!
Take care
